It was a clear knock on from the touch judge's point of view but Poite's view had been blocked. His comms weren't working properly so it would usually have been whispered in his ear but as it wasn't possible, Owens flagged to get his attention and then come on to tell him. I thought it was a good call in the context of the game at the time.

Solid performance yet again, 90% confident of a Grand Slam now. I don't think Wales have enough in their attack to break us down. I've got a feeling we could see the return of Tuilagi off the bench...he could be the difference.

As with any game of rugby I don't really care for the result providing Wales lose. They are effectively Liverpool and Spurs fans rolled up into one big ball of arrogance and entitlement. Awful losers and dreadful winners too.

It's the big one this weekend!

England v Wales at Twickenham.

Tuilagi back on the bench for England.

Both coaching teams having a bit of verbal sparring about the opposite team scrummaging illegally. No pressure Craig Joubert, first scrum will be massive now!

Really unfair promotion system but everyones in the same boat.
As a fellow Bristol resident, let's hope they don't choke (again)!

Are you going to the u20 Six Nations match at Ashton Gate tomorrow evening? £12 a ticket seems like a bargain to me.

They screwed up the TV decision(against England again) as everyone was sure it was a try.

That could cost Ford a lot of caps.

Not the best last fifteen mins from England, but we got the job done...just.

Triple crown winners, and four wins from four for Eddie Jones. The signs that we could become a very good team have been there, but only in fleeting moments and we are a million miles away from being able to challenge any of the big southern hemisphere teams.

Still, onwards and upwards. France next...going to be a huge test for our team...no matter how poor the French seem to be, they always turn it on against us. I fancy us to win by a very small margin...maybe three points.

I thought both Ford and Farrell were too eager to kick it aimlessly upfield, and Ford's pointless "kick first look later" punt, with a line of backs outside him waiting for it, got Wales back into the game.

Maybe Jones has been swayed by the fact that Youngs got MOM (somehow voted around half time!!) against Italy
You must of been the only one watching in the pub mate !?

Yeah, it's funny, growing up in Essex, I was always under the impression that rugby was a posh man's game, having since moved down to Bristol, it is quite clearly the opposite - I live in a traditional working class suburb with its fair share of social problems and I'd say that the the two rugby clubs have a massive role in keeping certain kids round here on the straight and narrow.

Of course Essex can at least lay claim to a World Cup winner - Chadwell Heath's own Jason Leonard.

Went to the game and really enjoyed it despite the result. Was sat in E31 with a great view. Thought Protheroe was great and there were some good individual performances but Wales were better as a team and better physically.

Thought it should have been a red rather than a yellow for the judo throw late in the game.

Great evening out for the family, £24 all in for the family and £5.50 for a pie and a pint. I have really enjoyed going to rugby this year despite being new to it and still learning the rules

I wish football was as accessible as this.

Whereabouts in Bristol are you from? I live in Shirehampton

You wouldn't have been far from us (E34) and from where we were it was a definite red. It was a decent night out, just a shame that Ashton Gate is so difficult to get to.

I live in Fishponds, I learned to drive around Shirehampton, I'm pretty sure the same architect designed both areas as they are basically identical.

I thought he came from Dagenham...

It is big in certain areas (Brentwood for one) but considering how important the game was you would think you'd notice in the media and the pubs that it was a Saturday afternoon event.

Not sure if its all because of the Manc cup game and i was wrapped up in it....

As everyone knows im no Rugger fan...but i always want my country to do well .

I love Bristol...proper City full of tough people.

Joe Mahler in trouble. Apparently you cannot call a Gypsy a Gypsy. Could be a long ban and a stint at a "re-educational" institute.
