Bucs first string has looked great 2 games in a row. If James can stop making dumb plays (1 big one last night) they'll have a monster offense.

Re: NFL Thread 2017/18
With Harvey finally out of the picture, another major hurricane could impact Week One of the regular season.
Hurricane Irma could be headed for South Florida, and the Dolphins host the Buccaneers at Hard Rock Stadium to launch the season. The storm already has grown to a Category 3, with miles and miles of open water to fuel it before it makes landfall.
In past years, the NFL has moved the starting time of a game in order to navigate around a hurricane, for example from Sunday to Saturday. As noted by Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, the game also could be moved to Week 11, when both teams are due to be on a bye.

Me and the missus heading up to Nashville on Friday as guests of the Raiders.
Staying at the same hotel as the players, looking forward to this. For those playing fantasy football :Mega Ron, Warp speaking to someone in the know today, Raiders offence is looking very good but the defense is still a bit so so.

Re: NFL Thread 2017/18
Janikowski a doubt for the Raiders and they're auditioning kickers off the street.
Week 1 and already some backup QB's in the mix. Tyrod Taylor in concussion protocol for the Bills, as is the backup. Could end up going with rookie 5th rounder Peterman. Andrew Luck out for Indy and they're going with the guaranteed-to-be mediocre Scott Tolzien. Of course Cutler in Miami is old news at this point.

if only he could do something with them...fjthegrey wrote:Tell him to pressure his head coach for Cooper to receive more redzone looks.

he got looks in the red zone, but dropped a few of them (even if his hands seem generally safe) and other receptions were called off for penalties. he'll be alright, but crabtree is a better end zone guy.

I think they will do well. For sure will be exciting to watch.Mega Ron wrote:Cheers Vince.
I hope they have a great season.
Are you out on the town while you're there?
Funny as f*** talking to them about the 'black hole' and the Raider Nation. Been trying to get tickets for a couple of seasons in that part of the ground and they say it is impossible.
The people that I know cannot even get these guys to swap their tickets for corporate hospitality packages.
Yep, will be out and about on Friday and Saturday. Youngest also goes to College in Nashville so we have been up there quite a lot . It's a pretty cool town.
Need anything ?

Cooper can score plenty without being targeted deep. He's as versatile as he is effective. Great player.fjthegrey wrote:Tell him to pressure his head coach for Cooper to receive more redzone looks.

Since Kizer is the starter I didn't count him as a back up. Gonna be another long season in Cleveland.
