There’s nothing artificial about the animosity between NY and Philadelphia, especially where sports are concerned. Boston and NY hate each other too, but there’s probably some kernel of respect buried in there somewhere. There’s no respect buried in the hatred for all things Philadelphia. Just contempt.

With that said, this pleases me:

Eagles feel like the Newcastle Utd of the NFL. Historically underachieving, fan base thinks a lot of itself & punch police horses (1 this week, 1 last week)

Their fans are more like the Millwall of the NFL. The barcodes analogy for the club itself I suppose is fair enough.

Not one post this week about the Super Bowl. Seem's it's not just me that is not that interested in the game this year. Don't like the Pats or the Eagles. Don't give a crap who wins.

same.
my dad's a redskin so the eagles can f*** off.
and whilst their success is earned and not bought, i'm bored of the patriots.

anyway, foles already had his big game and the pats will win easy. best qb, best head coach, a lot of experience.
would be more interesting if wentz was there, but that wouldn't change the fact i'd like both teams to lose.

nearly verbatim for me. minus being a redskins fan. that would make me ill. and for sports reasons Boston can f'off as well.

Gutted for The Jags. So unlucky and a bit naive at the final hurdle. All very West Ham! You just can’t pick your team in life can you! What a season though.

Now though It’s a bit like when you have no interest in an fa cup final but just want to see a good game.

For me it's like the FA Cup final when we were kids.

Where you didn't care who was playing. It was cup final day and it was going to be ****ing brilliant. You'd watch all those build up programmes during the day and then enjoy watching Coventry - Spurs or some other awful final.

I have the utmost respect for what the Patriots have achieved and think Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are both incredible.

However, I support the underdog. Even when the underdog is fairly despicable.
