Delighted DJ Foster made the Pats 53 (assuming they don't cut him to add someone acquired on waivers). I think he can be an interesting option whilst Dion Lewis is out. I like James White but Foster could easily displace him as the passing back.

antony wrote:Wow Vikings trade for Sam Bradford. I quite like that move for both sides.

Edit...no I don't. Vikings gave up too much for me. I completely get the more though.

The Eagles have a first round pick for the draft in Phili now
Vikings totally overpaid. And they also cut 3 of their drafts picks from this season.

And Mark Sanchez now a Cowboy - the hits just keep on coming!

Per a league source with knowledge of the timing of the release of the NFL’s official transaction report for Saturday, September 3, the Cowboys face scrutiny from the league office for signing former Broncos quarterback Mark Sanchez before his release from the Broncos was officially communicated by the league to all teams.

While a technicality, it’s nevertheless a clear violation of the tampering rules, with the Cowboys contacting, negotiating with, and signing Sanchez while he was still officially the property of the Broncos. The bigger question is whether the NFL will do anything about it.

Both the Cowboys and the "Team from Washington" got done in for screwy contracts during the uncapped year, a fairly clear anti-trust violation. Anything is possible.

It always seems like such a crapshoot as to what Goodell actually seems to care about, so it's so difficult to call. Does seem like something they should look at though especially as Denver were trying to hawk him for a trade.

In the byzantine world of NFL rules, you can negotiate with a player you are looking to trade but you can't with one who is an impending FA. Cowboys were ok to begin with but then may have been tampering in a manner similar to what cost the Chiefs two draft picks and $350k for going after Jeremy Maclin last summer.

Sam Bradford is mentally and physically weak, and the Vikings have made a horrible error giving up 1st and 4th round draft picks for him.

Rams kind of screwed with this schedule-wise. This year's schedule was put together before the Rams had moved to LA, Rams have a road game in Detroit the week before their London trip, which wasn't a big deal when it was a short trip back to St. Louis before heading across the Atlantic. Will be interesting to see if they bother returning to LA after the game or just head straight to London. Giants will have been at home vs. the Ravens, so a more orderly process for them. Might not seem like a big deal but I guarantee you the Rams organization is not thrilled about it.

Just one at Twickenham - the others are at Wembley.

The Trevor Siemian era begins tonight but when does it end?

My money is week 3. Lynch in for week 4.

Lots of big name impostors out there I'd be at least as skeptical of. Would be a huge step up for Lynch from his level of competition in college. If Sieman does crash and burn they would make the switch in a home game, like Week 5 vs. Atlanta.

Yes that's true. Didn't realise the Tampa match was on the road. I'll knock it back to week 5.

I don't know what I make of Lynch but I can't see them rolling with Siemian for too long.

They did ok tonight.

Very entertaining game. Newtown definitely looked concussed at the end. Not surprising since he took at least 3 helmet to helmet shots, only one of which was called.

This is so damn exciting, the off season is too long.

Win or lose I'm going to enjoy this game.

Yep, great game to watch that despite the Saints loss.

New Saints touchdown record of 98 yards recorded in the game too.

Drew Brees - Legend!

Snead is looking lively, Thomas did well in his first game, Cooks is Cooks, has shown glimpses of his talent over the last two years but hasn't reached the level the Saints know he can but he certainly showed some yesterday, lets hope this is the year.

Oh and the defence looked good (until Breaux went off injured and the Raiders targeted that corner) :scarfer:
