great rookie running back, I watched him last week (or maybe the week before) he looks like Ezekiel Elliot did last year (or was it the year before )
as for O'Brien he lost to Mike Grabel last week who was his shitty defensive coordinator last year (although they did have those awful injuries) and isn't the Giants guy first year too ?
he's on the hot seat............
Giants entire coaching staff is new other than the Special Teams coordinator and maybe one other guy. The DC had been with the Cardinals the past 3 seasons. With him came the switch from playing a 4-3 front to a 3-4, something the Giants hadn't employed for ages.
Giants continue to have a very difficult schedule, much like West Ham, front loaded with many challenging fixtures. If somehow we make it to 3-4 after the first 7 there's a chance of competing for a playoff spot. But I'm not getting ahead of myself as we could easily start out 1-6.
As for B'OB, I see the sentiment is already coalescing...
Earlier in the week, O’Brien leapt to the top of the odds to be the first coach fired. That was before Hue Jackson’s Browns finally won. Sunday’s outcome won’t help O’Brien, who does not have enough goodwill and cache with the Houston media to get much of a break in the court of public opinion. There were several “Fire O’Brien” signs scattered about NRG Stadium for owner Bob McNair to see. Those signs are not going anywhere for the AFC’s worst team thus far.
Heading up to New England where the Patsies haven't lost 3 in a row since probably before....I don't know, I'd guess around Y2K. Dolphins already a 9 point underdog as the betting public sees no way Pats will lose again. Miami wasn't exactly crisp against a very flawed Oakland team but should be competitive against a NE team that is looking old and tired and it's only Week 4.
Some bonkers games today. 4 of them go to OT Eagles out coached in their game and got pantsed. Dallas out-coached by the fat kid on the Lions but still lucked into a win. That Cleveland Oakland game was nutso from the get-go. Miami one major psychological hurdle to accomplish in order to not embarrass yourself vs, the Patriots. Not even close. Good to see Texans get a smidgen of positive momentum leading up to what I hope will be an embarrassment of South America's team.
have a big lead then played prevent defence the whole second half...except it didn't
Luck heaved up over 60 passes....
our corners played 10 yards off the whole half and we would have lost except for a Christmas came early call from the opposition.
4th and 4 from their own about 40 yard line maybe a tad closer. they line up to go for it, hoping to draw the Texans offside....they call time out when it's evident we ain't going to fall for it...they come out again in 4th and 4 and go for it and fail.
we get the ball on their as I say 40 or so and then go far enough for a game winning field goal.
we didn't exactly "win" it - more factually is they "lost" it..
bet Reich is on the hot seat today..........
as should be our defensive coordinator....truly dreadful second half "defending" and I use the term very loosely...
Brownies got screwed. Leading late in the 4th and they cause fumble, run it back for a TD and it gets called back claiming that Carr had stopped his forward progress. It was a travesty of a call. It was 100% a fumble. Then they get called for a deep PI that wasn't a PI. They have every right to be incensed.
seen all 4 Texans games now and not once have I seen the new rule applied.......
and no more PI calls called/not called than usual........
seen some good on field decisions (at the time) over turned due to VAR - only one which should have been in the Texans favour not given...
can't complain about calls costing us the game at all to be honest..
having said that, wait until we play the Cowboys on SNF
can say that we have lost because of dumb coaching decisions, bad q.b. decisions, defensive coaching decisions and general piss poor tackling....but can't say any calls have cost/given us any game this year (so far).
and we lost to the Colts........both truly awful teams, making both their quarterbacks look like Tom Brady having a Super Bowl winning performance in the process...
not sure how we can continue to let our q-b get eaten alive week after week....the David Carr syndrome..
