Even if we won Clarke has to be up there with Faldo as one of the worst ever captains. Poor wild card picks in kaymer and Westwood (Knox and Donald would have done so much more)

Then he compounds the mistake by keep picking his two mistakes rather than players like Fitzpatrick and Willet who earned their spot.

Can never be forgiven for selecting Westwood. The has been that never really was.

I agree his current form is not up to Ryder Cup standard, but "never really was"? He knocked Tiger Woods off the world number one spot in 2010 and held it for four months, and for another five weeks in 2011.

He does lack a Major, but to be world number one for a total of twenty two weeks isn't too shabby.
