Had a round last week in Saintes in France.

Wasn't using my clubs and hadn't swung a club for while so had an awful start with 3 blobs

Driving was all over the shop

Finished up with a very strange round:
- x7 blobs
- x10 3 pointers
- x1 2 pointer

Played at our usual course at the weekend, The Essex.

Scored 43 points, shooting 22 over on a 28 handicap.

Really pleased with how consistent and straight I've been hitting it lately, thus increasing yardage per short.

Scored 4 over per on the part 4 9th, but only 7 over on the back 9.

Pretty much to be fair.

I haven't got an official handicap as I only go round with my father in law who also doesn't have one so can't score my cards.

I usually go round in between 24-30 so would stick 26 as my handicap on weekends away etc.

do your own handicap online.. plenty of sites and they track your score and then you get a handicap

golfshot is a good one

3 rounds of golf in 4 days and my back is killing me

Abridge Friday - terrible round 20pts
Hainult upper Saturday - good round - 30pts
Cranham Monday - very good round - 35pts

all of the courses were not in the best of nick due to the lack of rain - cranham was in the best nick of them all.

Playing Westerham this friday - cant wait !!

Hainault upper today. Society event

36 points. Second place

Only annoying thing is would have won. However the guy who won we saw play the wrong ball on the green at 18 but didn’t take a pen.. his PPs kicked up that it was their fault they said it was his ball and was same make etc so they let him off

Great .. I would have smashed countback

The guy who run had left by then as he had to get to work.. and I didn’t feel right sticking up an argument with me standing to walk away winner because of it

So moral high ground and no 1 shot cut for winning

Good man mumbles. It really isn't worth it although you know you deserved/earnt the win.

I caught a mate of mine on a golf weekend cheekily 'find' his ball about 4 inches inside the out of bounds markers. Another mate thought he saw it but we let it slide as he come second anyway. We would have mentioned it if he was going to win as that is just out of order.

36 over par on Saturday, terrible round. Struggled to get any rhythm going except for my short chipping and putting which were about as food as I've done over a round. Lost 4 or 5 balls and only got 2 pars.

After playing for 5 years my lessons and practice is finally paying off

Anyone who’s played with me over past year has seen improvement

Get a lot of compliments of improved striking

It’s down to hard work that my handicap is finally on the way down

Then again I’m playing tomorrow just watch me hit 20 points after having a mare of a round.. I didn’t strike it well at all over my 9 hole yesterday

Lessons plus my 9 hole have worked wonders

The 9 hole been a member of since November ... my short game has improved a lot due to practing real world situations

Past 2 rounds My driver has finally been going well. If I can hold it all together I will get a proper cut

To those who say “bandit” when someone scores well how exactly do you measure improvement in someone’s game? Are you not allowed to improve or must you start at 28. Hit 30 points forever and always hack it round? One day you will have to “bandit” to get a handicap reduction

Also I should add that there are 2 rounds missed from the list
Blake’s I hit 40 points with a blob... massive bandit
However Enfield I hit 24 ... off a higher handicap

Socially I played 2 Lower than society golf as never been cut in my society

Do Blake’s I played off 2 lower than Enfield.. Blake’s 40 points and Enfield 24

So going through the list again

Hainault 39 off a lower handicap
Hainault 36 off higher handicap
Enfield 24 off higher handicap
Crow lands 19 (9 hole) off low handicap
Blake’s 40 off low
Dukes 34 off higher
Marquess 29 off higher

That’s so vary varied scores .... and if off my social handicap in society would be 2 points less per round aswell

Plus gamegolf is the best tracker of handicap.... it tracks every shot I make

Society handicap is one above game golf..

So hardly bandit country when a computerised system tracks the handicap .. works it out and produces it
