Was a great day.

40 points, hot as fk and a couple of pints after.

Im not the greatest golfer but hitting 83 gross at a tough course has made my weekend, had a few 3 jabs as well so could have been even better.

played langdon hills Saturday - its a nice course and good value for money BUT the greens are in a **** condition - reckon its because they stayed open for the winter and its the wear and tear. played front 9 to handicap - fell apart on the back

played cranham on Monday and the greens here are in tip top condition as always - shot 85 not my best score over there but for only my 3/4th round of the year its not too bad

cant wait for a bit of sun on the fairways so my 2nd shot in is a bit closer to the green

Played nizels in Sevenoaks today

Beautiful course however the rough?! Jesus the open would be proud of that! So thick. 28 points but on Any other hole was a blob due to not being able to find my ball

Happy with every part of my game bar the driver

Hit 2 great drives on par 5s and was pin high in 3 bloody brilliant

Nice birdie on the par 3 11th to cheer me up aswell

Played Cranham Saturday (24 hcp). Shot 6 over on the front nice and finished.....24 over. Infuriating back 9, such a shame.

Got 2 weeks with no golf now after averaging a round a week for past 10 months lol count down until mid May when I have a Society event followed next day by overnight trip to the barham broom.. then roll on June for a 4 day Golf tour of Bournemouth

Shame after that I’m off Golf for 5 weeks for daddy day care when the Mrs returns from maternity leave

Hey everyone, my name Is JH and I've been off the golf for nearly 2 and a half years

Went into the garage and saw the bats looking very lonely in the corner with quite a lot of dust on them.

Opened the pocket on the bag where I kept scorecards, and had to smile at my last round where I ended up stabbing the card with the pencil and walked off, something like +26 after 15 holes (7 hcap)

Just got back from Edinburgh, what a fantastic place to play golf.

Aberdour was a great course, with some spectacular views over the river and £25 a round.

We also ended up playing Glencorse, what a lovely course that is, and only £20!

If you are ever in the area I urge you to play these 2 courses, you will not get much better.

Every club we played, the staff and members were really friendly and welcoming.

Edinburgh city centre is great for a booze up in the evenings, with most pubs closing at 1am every night of the week.

you still played cranham to handicap though - just take solace that you had a good front nine mate

i also found stapleford abbots to be very challenging and managed to play it for £0 (they have me down as a lapsed member for some reason and every year invite me back  ) - love toot hill too though mate one of my favourite local courses

Im playing either Hainault or Abridge on Saturday - then Moor Ride in ascot next Friday

Card isn’t what it used to be

Maylands are a prime example its suppose to be £15 a round on it via open fairways but they insist on charging you the day rate instead of a round rate so ends up £20

Now days you get better deals off TeeOffTimes

Ones to use it on tho is the Hertfordshire, south essex and stableford Abbott’s

Defo pays for itself when it’s on offer, I remember people buying them for like £100 back in the day.

Didn’t renew this year after finding either courses stopped taking them when i phoned or my playing partners didn’t want to play those courses

Belhus used to be good on there.. worked out £8 for a round.
