Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Pity for him. Hopefully he counts as a non runner and i get my £40 back
Only backed the bloke 3 times ever. US open at pebble, whistling straights bunkergate and now this. He should put me on retainer to stay away

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Went to the Masters a few years back, on a Saturday unfortunately not the final day.
Great experience and I'm not even a golf nut.

Good recovery by Rory to go on level
If only he could just play like that all the time rather than be too agreesive out the traps
Rahm needs to calm the heck down

Hoffman going backwards, now tied for the lead with Sergio on -4
I'd quite like to see Garcia win a major.

has anyone won a major with the claw putting? terrible putting style.. a professional should be able to putt!Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote:Hoffman going backwards, now tied for the lead with Sergio on -4

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Garcia would be a very popular winner, well overdue a Major. Shame Westwood went backwards after being in contention. The two best players never to have won a Major.
Let's go Sergio.

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Garcia and Rose the final pairing tomorrow, I'd be happy with either winning. It's a shame Sergio has such problems putting, I'm sure it's cost him a Major or two.

They both use the claw which I don't think a major has ever been won usingJohnny Byrne's Boots wrote:Garcia and Rose the final pairing tomorrow, I'd be happy with either winning. It's a shame Sergio has such problems putting, I'm sure it's cost him a Major or two.
Fowler is looking good
Only 1 off the lead and playing consitsant
Rory could learn a thing or two from him.. not overly risky
Tbh Rory will never win the masters without a proper caddy talking him out of risk taking.. his caddy is just a fancy Trolley

Same applies to Lee Westwood. The putting has cost him over the years.Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote: It's a shame Sergio has such problems putting, I'm sure it's cost him a Major or two.
I think a lot if people will be rooting for Sergio today.

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Advice please
I know nothing about golf but lumped on Garcia last week
I can cash out now and make a 300% profit
Or go with it for 700% profit
Are his chances of winning good?

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Well it's a two horse race between him and Rose at the moment. Garcia has had problems with his short game when in this position so I don't personally think he will win. Don't take my word for it though...

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
Garcia has not won a major in seventy three attempts. Rose has, he also won the Olympic gold medal. He knows how to win and like Souly says, Garcia has problems putting especially approaching the finishing line.
He'd be a popular winner though...

Yep, always a bottle job in solo competition, sadly. Likeable guy but just difficult to fully respect him as a top player.
Wasn't here earlier to advise, but hope you cashed out chalks; a 300% profit is a 300% profit.

Re: The Masters Thread with Prediction Comp
You should have taken the money, Garcia has some serious gardening to do on the thirteenth, his ball's buried in the bushes.
He's taking a penalty drop, another shot gone.
