Mentally, I've never seen a country crumble the way SA seem to every tournament.

ICC will be happy with a Eng v Pak semifinal, assuming India batter Bangladesh they will be guaranteed ratings for the final.

Sri Lanka look like clutching a defeat from the jaws of victory.
Never seen so many dropped catches/slip-ups in the field.

Since 1992, I've never felt confident against Pakistan. They always seem to turn it on against us. But will this new England team just blow them away?

Instinct against Pakistan is that if we bat first we could well put on a decent score and they'll find it hard to chase. Their batting depth isn't amazing and they should have been well out of it yesterday against a middling score.

They bat first and the nerves could strike if we lose a couple of early wickets. However, the confidence flowing through much of the team suggests that we should be able to cope with most situations.

England can't confirm team because of ICC anti corruption, but Roy didn't bat at all in practice. Expect Bairstow to open tomorrow. #ENGvPAK

Good move by England if true.

Roy is massively out of form and at this stage of the competition you can't carry anyone.

Roy didn't bat in practice why?
Is he injured?
Surely you are still allowed to practice if dropped.

Mohammad Amir ruled out of today's match with a back spasm. Shame for him, but a bit of a bonus for England.

148-5 after 34 overs, England losing wickets at regular intervals. We look like we are going to fall short here.

They say never judge a pitch until both sides have batted on it but whatever we get from here won't be enough. Pakistan have bowled superbly. We have batted impatiently, and at the worst possible time.

Top bowling from Hassan 3-35, this might not be over yet the ball has done something throughout the innings but we are going to have to bowl out of our skins. Mark Wood could be tasty on here.

Prodigious reverse swing going on in the latter stages of England's innings. If they bowl immaculately we might sneak a win...

26-0 after 5, one ball of note from Wood, nothing happening to the wicket so far at all. Need a spark, Rashid or Stokes maybe?
