SL chase down 321 to beat India. Group B is all square for the final games. Loser goes home.

Thats livened up that group.
Ive never rated the Indian bowling attack. They're better at chasing than setting targets.

India or South Africa going home. Didn't foresee that. Will mean England vs Pakistan or Sri Lanka semi-final in all likelihood.

Top stuff from the unfancied Bangladeshis . They will qualify if we beat the Aussies tomorrow.
First 200 stand in ODI for them amongst some other records. They were 30odd for 4 at one point with the ball swinging all over the place.

Aussies collapsing England style. 5 wickets for 15 runs. Wood and Rashid 4 each. Great stuff.

35 for 3.
Roy goes early ( no surprise) and Hales and Root gone early doors too.

Re: Champions Trophy Cricket
I had hoped that just because we're already through to the Semis we wouldn't pick a weakened side.
Those hopes were of course dashed when I saw Jake Ball and the painfully out-of-form Roy in the starting line-up.
35-3 and this match is crying out for a Bairstow-led rescue...

Yet it looks like the ECB will limit players to a couple of weeks next year because there is a May series at home, such a backwards view.steps wrote:Stokes is an absolute beast of a player at the moment, the IPL has done him the power of good.
What a knock!
Confirmed the Aussies are going home - England win by 40 runs D/L

Re: Champions Trophy Cricket
What a superb day in the Eric Hollies that was. England were very very good at times and the way Morgan and Stokes batted this afternoon after that rain delay was an absolute privilege to watch. Very honourable mentions for Wood and Rashid who restricted the aussies to such a comfortably gettable score. Nobody will fancy playing us in the semis. Just need to keep the focus.

Saffers collapsing quicker than the Aussies yesterday. Looks like it will be England v's the sub-continent for the knockout stages.

Re: Champions Trophy Cricket
...what a wonderful example of teamwork, in every sense of the word - the communication in deciding whether or not it was a run, and then also the selfishness of both trying to be the one who remained at the crease!!FreeWheeling wrote::lol:

Oh, and what a shame the Aussies are off home!!!
