The blokes served his sentence ! If people don't like it they should be having a pop at the authorities for not banning him for life !
By the way, that mass dis-respectful booing would get a completely different media reaction if it were a football crowd.

For me this summed up why I can't stand athletics, Gatlin a drug cheat wins the 100M, Farah wins another drug cheat, 25 and bang average goes to work with well known drug cheat Salazar, magically improves, misses two drug tests, be like going Tesco and amazed they sell groceries

Are innocent until admitting guilt, Armstrong never failed a test, was it Wiggins recently admitted to taking steroids for "recovery" legally but he never mentioned it in his book. All these top athletes hooking up with well known drug coaches, they're not exactly employing them for morale support.

Gatlin's ban wasn't for steroids though, and it was more than 10 years ago.

I know it is reddit but the image is shocking really. Bolt if he did test positive it would be buried so deep it would come out the other side of the Earth

The Canadian pole-vaulter Alysha Newman was very cheeky this evening

Disappointing Gatlin winning, but I must admit it did make me smile that Lord Coe had to present him with his medal.

"As for the 2006 Case, neither the AAA nor the CAS made any finding that Gatlin had cheated or taken testosterone knowingly or deliberately. Instead, Gatlin was sanctioned on the basis that he was not able to prove how testosterone had entered his body."
"In particular, he submitted that his physical therapist must have rubbed cream spiked with testosterone on his legs without his knowledge the night before and the day of the doping control test."

Watching the replay of the women's 400m heats, the Beeb helpfully had a graphic up saying "Voice of Michael Johnson" as he commented on the race. Presumably in case you thought it might be Steve Cram or Denise Lewis talking in a baritone Texan accent.

ManBeastWoman runs the Brit out of a bronze in the 1500. Feel sorry for the Muir.
