I genuinely don't want him to. It's going to be hilarious to witness the stink following him.Tenbury wrote:Either Lehman goes away ...or this story won't.

Feel sorry for Bancroft but his 9 mnths is what he deserved.Warner i hope never represents again,Smithy needs to grow a set, as the captain and huge role Model he is lucky he only got 12 mnths sorry it is a total joke to think those three where the only one's that knew the plan.
There is a solid rumor going that Warner is going to name a certain player who was more than willingly,so we wait and see the bull**** flow.

Cricket Australia major sponsor, Magellan, dumps them. Got to be bad when when a bunch of financial advisors don’t want to be associated with you.

Compare this to football where Dele Alli cheats about 4 times a match looking for penalties.

I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed watching Steve Smith crying. I enjoyed Lehmann crying even more.
I'm looking forward to Warner allegedly outing another Aussie bowler for alleged cheating too.

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Watching today I did feel a bit for Smith. The realisation how much he has ****ed up, the pain he has put his parents through. Lots of people now worried about his mental state and the pressure he is under.
We all make mistakes.
And then I thought about it.
If they hadn't been caught and won the test, would he have cared? If they won the series and du Plessis was sacked, maybe the coach? South African careers ended? Would Smith have cared? Thousands of dollars lost by those betting on SA? Fans conned?
He deserves all the pain. Cheats need to know there is a huge price to pay. Suck it up pal.

I don't buy this 'it's gamesmanship taken a bit too far' crap, if you can't tell the difference between gamesmanship and blatantly cheating you're a halfwit.
Cricket has to have a degree of fairp!ay, the umpires are there to watch the ball,NOT the players.

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
There is something hugely impressive about the 'scandal' over ball tampering that puts football to shame. Footballers cheat week in, week out, the game at all levels expects and condones it through lack of interest, punishment or consequence.smuts wrote:Compare this to football where Dele Alli cheats about 4 times a match looking for penalties.
A 3 game ban for a match winning dive, justifies the crime and the offences get jokingly talked about by the media. Face clutching, screaming, diving, conning refs are all part of the culture and expectation.
A team caught cheating in cricket gets global media coverage; the protagonists getting life changing attention.
2 popular and different sports with completely different sets of standards.... interesting.

100% agree. The attitude and environment built up around this current Aussie team seems to be dreadful and I have little sympathy for them. Like a bunch of childish bullies who have been caught.Bend it like Repka wrote:Watching today I did feel a bit for Smith.
