Bancroft being made to carry the can. How on earth did they think they would get away with it?
Lehman moaning about the crowd :lol:

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Yep, they made a massive deal about targeting Broad in the run up, not to mention the tactical way they chose to announce the Bairstow headbutt on Bancroft.Bend it like Repka wrote: Agreed. He was happy to up the hatred on Broad two Ashes back. He always promotes in your face cricket.
"he hoped Australian crowds would target Stuart Broad so viciously that "he cries and goes home". "

Hopefully the crowd step it up a notch tomorrow :lol:
(Having a pop at the families is out of order though....but the Aussies love it when the boots on the other foot.)

Looks like Smith is refusing to step down and Bancroft is being thrown under the bus.
Shameful w*nkers, they’ll never live this down.
The thing is, how long have they been doing it though? All previous series’ under Smith / Lehman’s watch need to be looked at.

Probably get Bancroft a massive contract as chief ball shiner for Chennai, the dodgy cheating bastards[/qu
Fair point!
But to be serious for a moment,which is a shame as I can't stop grinning, the difference is , they've been caught. The IPL, Big Bash and so on are sold on their 'family friendly' brand, it's going to be fun to see where this ends.
Totally agree about Lehman throwing the youngster under the bus.

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
It is truly truly funny. Couldn't have happened to a nicer team.
Best thing is if Smith goes the vice captain has to take over.
Step forward David Warner :lol:

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Hmm where to be begin whoever had this bright idea should be banned period.In Australian sport the Australian Cricket Captaincy is our holy Grail and has been held in that regard for more years than i can remember,it is seen as a position of influence especially in Cricket a good Example of this is Steve Waugh.
What Steve Smith and the leadership team has done is a disgrace and they deserve the punishment will be handed down to them.There are people with great influence pushing for a minimum 3 year ban for Smith and Bancroft.The fallout will be great black eye for Cricket in Australia.

Smith and Warner have been stood down from the captaincy and vice for the rest of the game.

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Latest from the Barmies
Steve Smith is an Aussie
He wears a baggy cap
And when he saw some sticky tape
He said I'm having that...
He gave it Cameron Bancroft
Who rubbed it on the ball
Those cheating Aussie convicts
They'll never change at all!
Same tune as this... " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Smith's got some form for cheating as well hasn't he.
Wasn't it in India he was caught out getting someone on the dressing room balcony to signal if and when to review

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Jason Gillespie on sky sports now basically saying all the stuff which has been around the Aussie team (whether they’ve been the ones in trouble or it’s been against them) the past few years and clearly the common denominator is the Australian team and its leadership. Lehmann whether he was aware or not has to step down as it’s happened on his watch.

All the suspect results should be at least wiped, better still given to the opposition.Nesticles wrote:" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Stuart Broad was quite clever with his remarks on it, when asked if he believed it was the first occasion as Smith said in the press conference yesterday. He said how they were very good with reverse swing in the Ashes and in the first 2 tests agains SA, so why change your method in this test match?

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
Its unlikely, but what if Australia miraculously win this test match now?
With them admitting to cheating, surely the result should be void??

Re: The Ashes 2017/18
wow is that all? That is nothing for admitting organising cheating, one year would be a light punishment.aaronhammer wrote:https://www.icc-cricket.com/media-releases/650624" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
