Pleasantly surprised by yesterday's result. I had it down as a home banker and was expecting Kimi to roll over for Vettel and then hold up Lewis.
Brilliant drive from Lewis and great support from Bottas. Vettel really is a twat though and seems to buckle under pressure. Marvellous.

So Kimi has been given the tin tack from Ferrari with Le Clerc going the other way.

So it's finally official, Le Clerc is Vettel's new stooge and Kimi is sent out to pasture at Sauber.
I like Kimi and it will be interesting to see how he fares at Sauber.

Everyone likes Kimi, but in reality he is not good enough to be in a top team anymore.

Ferrari need someone who can take the fight to Lewis if Vettel has a problem, and Kimi has never done so.

Not convinced Le Clerc will be a stooge, esp early on. Maybe Ferrari have had enough of Vettels mistakes and want a second option.

His press conference yesterday was comedy gold, his deadpan delivery is fantastic. The cracking German needs a win this weekend and on a track where the he has an advance (just like last race). Lewis usually goes mentally awol for the Asian leg of the year but he looked focused yesterday.

Amazing lap by Hamilton to take pole, left pretty much everyone speechless. Max being 2nd is a worry, he will be aggressive at the start and could easily do something stupid taking Hamilton out. Vettel looking more and more pissed off with Ferrari every race.

That lap from Hamilton must have been like a punch in the solar plexus for Vettel, he absolutely creamed it.

The only nagging worry is how much he had to turn up his engine to make it and how much it's taken out of it.

The first corner and subsequent couple could like last year see carnage, if Vettel once again sees the red mist as he seems to every time he is behind the wheel lately he will hit Verstappen again who is collected after that in the subsequent mêlée of carbon fibre will be telling, if I was Lewis I’d have every gizmo possible turned up and try and get as far away from Verstappen as is humanly possible as it’s him and Vettel that will crash if there’s a crash and he needs to hide from it

A travesty that Ocon looks like having no drive next year. Losing his seat so daddy's boy can plod round in his car next year.

Lewis is right up there with the very greatest.

If he could end his career at Ferrari and win a title his legacy would be complete and undisputed.

To me he is the better out of him and Perez, but Perez brings in the cash from his sponsor, and the politics of that has harmed the better driver

Part of the problem here is the money generated by F1 goes to the big teams not shared out enough, so drivers paying for a seat get seats ahead of good drivers

Took out okon, moans he can’t overtake the Williams, asks Charlie whiting to intervene, because he isn’t good enough to get past himself, then does get past him, and as he can’t finish the move drives into the Williams
