^^^ Ferrari's wing mirror mountings on the halo have been outlawed. It's still legal to mount them there but the fancy wings which just happen to stop the mirrors wobbling are no more.

They have also been required to 'explain' an aspect of their engine to the FIA.

Monaco this weekend. The one race of the season where I only watch the highlights. :thdn:

Yes, we all know why it is on the schedule but it is a terrible race. They could make it a time trial or fastest pit stop, but do something with it. Pointless as a race.

It's only worth watching if it rains.... this should be the one circuit that they use sprinklers on every year.

I love the history and sense of occasion that Monaco has, but as a race it is dull, boring and possibly the worst of the F1 calendar.
Christian Horner clearly not happy with max yesterday. Another cock up from the young maverick that's cost Red Bull a 1-2 .

Any chance of rain in the principality today!!!

As much as Monaco is a procession and dull racing, it is watchable because of the incredible talent of driving such a machine through tiny streets inches from barriers.

I know it is a ridiculous comparison, but I can set mega laps on any circuit on my F1 game after plenty of practice, nailing corners on the limit etc, but at Monaco I'm useless. I've never come close to a clean lap always hitting barriers.

It's like a boss level x 2

Rain in the air at Monaco, should make it a bit more interesting if it remains.

It says a lot about F1 in general and even more about Monaco in particular that a car with two hundred horsepower more than the car in front can't get past.

Other than the first lap, yet another boring race. At least Max got on the podium though. I wonder if the penny has finally dropped with him?

Race was worse than the Monaco one, yes it is a close race for the title but as a spectacle F1 is in a bad place. Race needed a safety care in the latter portion desperately.

Carnage at the start of the French F1 - Vettel takes damage but Lewis is clear at the front. Safety car.

Five-second time penalty for Vettel as a result of that collision.

But still got the better of it - Bottas not at fault and came off worse. German is moving well here sadly. Lewis clear out front still though, rain could happen (60% chance apparently).

I need more screens - Cricket, Football and F1 all at the same time.

Lewis controls from start to finish, Vettel gets lucky as usual and finishes 5th. Lewis takes control in the championship - on to next week (3 races in 3 weeks for the 1st time this year)

Max wins a good race. Ferrari take 2nd and third, terrible day for Mercedes failed both tactically and mechanically. My only surprise is that they let Kimi keep second.

Back to one point in it.

Given that it's an open secret Kimi is being replaced by Leclerc next season, I think Ferrari's management knew the response they'd get if they told him to let goldenbollocks past.

More than likely that the mechanical problem with Hamilton's Mercedes would have done for him however the race panned out but yet again Mercedes tactics are trumped by the rest. They are not very good at thinking on their feet and time and time again are left behind when it comes to safety car pit stops. From the moment they left Lewis out there while everyone else pitted, the goose was cooked.
Hopefully Silverstone will be better. However, even though I was disappointed with the result, it was a decent race to watch.
