Final ODI Indian's 156-4. Rashid has just got Kohli (71) with a Warne type ball, pitched leg and hit the top of off stump, lovely ball.

Another from Rashid, he is on fire at the moment. Such a shame he feels he cannot play Test Match cricket. Would be a handful on the dry pitches later this summer.

Ben chokes, i don't understand why he bowls at the death always seems to go for some damage. Wood is a better choice. (17 from the 49th over)

Re: England Cricket Thread 2018
Lovely from England, 100 from Root and excellent from Morgan. The Liverpool of cricket put in their place.
Nice to see Cookie in the runs as well for the Lions as well. Test series should be a cracker.
Only one thing better than the ball is Kohli's face

Well this may be the most stupid idea of all time. I genuinely wouldn't watch if Michael McIntyre was commentating on cricket

God help us if this does happen.Slacking student wrote:Well this may be the most stupid idea of all time. I genuinely wouldn't watch if Michael McIntyre was commentating on cricket

The only way this could be worse would be if Miranda was co-commentating.

Re: England Cricket Thread 2018
You think it's the right move even though he has no interest in playing red ball cricket because he only signed a white ball contract with Yorkshire? What does that say to the spinners grafting away on the county circuit to try and get their opportunity if the selectors go for someone who refuses to play the longer format for his county?steps wrote:Rashid named in the squad for the first Test against India next week.
Personally, I think it’s the right move. Has to be the best spinner we have currently.

I think he only signed that contract due to being overlooked by the selectors.NottingHammer6 wrote:

Leading wicket taker in India in 2016 then dropped for the next series.
I thought he was treated unfairly, personally.
Totally see where you’re coming from though, but if you look at what’s being brought through CC at the moment spinner wise there is not a lot that cuts the mustard.

Re: England Cricket Thread 2018
Time after time players are overlooked by selectors, to me they should get back into the county circuit and earn their place, prove to them why they should be in the side not just say f*ck it I'm not going to bother with the longer format and just earn my £ through the short stuff. That would put him down the pecking order for me.steps wrote:

The lack of quality in the CC I agree with but it's the principle of the selection imo, if you were the leading wicket taker (spinner) in the county championship you'd be fuming someone who doesn't even play the format gets selected ahead of you

Muted applause for Rashid at Headingley tonight against Warks (Birmingham).

Probably going to get dogs abuse tomorrow
Seems a stubborn character, hopefully he can shrug it off and deliver the goods
