Got a bit squeaky bum when a few wickets tumbled but got home comfortably enough.

Was the crowd waving sheets of sandpaper at them the entire match? If not, why not?

Re: England Cricket Thread 2018
From today's Times:
Just beggars belief, doesn't it. Perfectly comfortable with cheating, but trying to take the moral high ground when mocked after being caught doing so.Pieces of sandpaper with 4 and 6 printed on them were being handed out to spectators on their way to the Kia Oval as part of an advertising campaign by a new investment smartphone app. Security staff clearly did not enjoy “the banter” and were given instructions to seize the items as supporters entered the ground. Darren Lehmann, who left his position as Australia coach in the wake of the ball-tampering scandal, was not amused either. In response to the BBC reporter Alison Mitchell, who tweeted a picture of the offending sandpaper, he replied: “Your [sic] better than that.”

Re: England Cricket Thread 2018
I can't think of another sporting nation that operates quite like the shackle-draggers. Win or lose, they are just the most unbearable mob. Either full of smirking glee or full of the most righteous indignation, utterly overlooking their own unsportsmanlike behaviour at a whim. Given just how far above their relative weight they've been able to punch down the years, you'd have thought they'd grown out of it by now - but if anything, it keeps getting worse.sendô wrote:The convicts have always been great at dishing out the abuse but ****ing terrible at taking it.

Endless, personal sledging of their opposition, and any response met with screams of things being "taken too far".
**** em, indeed.

2nd ODI in Cardiff
England post 342-8 could have been much larger, losing wickets in the middle again. Highest ODI score against the Aussies
Suns come out as well, look like the Aussies have the best of the conditions but I reckon we have enough to go 2-0 up.

England on course for a 450+ total, perhaps even 500.
Can they do it?

Boycott and Tavare will be having kittens watching this!
When was the last time the Test team were about 310 for 2?
Bairstow just gone sadly. Amazing knock.

Eng 420-3 and still 6 overs remaining.
Highest ever ODI score by any team is 444.
Eoin Morgan 50 of 21 balls, fastest ever ODI 50 by an English Batsman.
