Thought I'd start a new thread to bring an end to the horrendous winter that was 17/18

I won't be mentioning KP either you'll all be happy to hear

Just seen TMS have lost the rights to talksport for the winters radio broadcast, hopefully this isn't the thin end of the wedge

Durham getting hammered on Twitter for it

Indeed, I'd rather listen to TMS than watch the cricket and I cannot think of any other situation that would occur, it is just so good to listen to. I can't imagine how bad Talkshite will be.

The swinging ball is the only thing that can save us.

We have some good players In Root, Stokes, Bairstow and the Bowling of Broad and Anderson. But I think this England side is going through a real transistion and with Bayliss going soon, everything seems a little up in the air.

We should be using this summer to bring in some young players for the future. Life without Jimmy and Stuart is going to be painful. Could this summer be their last?

No TMS for the winter tours of 2018. A decision made my the overseas boards of whoever we're playing.

TMS on air for all England home matches until 2024.

International and domestic cricket on the BBC from 2020.

Watching Saggers and Durham trying to claim TalkSport will be just as good as TMS is laughable.

Constant bickering, adverts and betting... :thdn:

May pop over to the Oval on Saturday for Day 2 of Surrey v Hampshire.

£20 to watch a day of CC seems a bit steep, swear it used to be around £10!

Only so they can try to claim the moral high ground when their opposing fans tear into them over it.

"Look, we've done all we can to try to put things right. We only made a couple of dozen references to your batsmen's wives cheating on them, and just a single death threat when one of them responded. So you tell me, what more can we do? We just want to play cricket etc."

Not bothered about TalkSport gaining rights as could never get TMS in the car.

Just been reading about the LS being omitted from the venues of the 2019 World Cup.

Apparently the ICC, Strauss and Morgan looked at it extensively but due to the side the sun sets it would of renderered half of the ground in darkness and non-visbale to players and spectators.

Essex v Yorkshire.

Yorkshire bowled out for just 50, in reply Essex 10-2. (Lunch)

It still feels weird that Essex are currently good at cricket. We're normally like the West Ham of county cricket.

20 wickets already fallen on day 1 at Essex. After getting Yorkshire all out for 50, Essex themselves then all out for just 142.

So a lead of 92, but game very much still on.

Essex having bowled Yorkshire out for 50 have now somehow found a way to lose the game.

Yorkshire win by 91 runs. Oh dear.
