After that video came out, didn't he claim that he played along with what was going on because he was fearing for his life?

Quit snooker John and move to Hollywood.

Without any doubt Ronnie O'Sullivan is one of the greatest naturally gifted snooker players there's ever been but his attitude is awful and the disrespect he regularly shows his opponents has stopped me from warming to him and it was great to see Ali Carter turn him over. I've had a bet on Mark Williams but would happily forfeit any winnings to see Carter go all the way after what he's been through.

I remember watching a documentary a few years ago saying that Snooker was huge in China and it was inevitable they would have their first world champion sooner rather than later.

Never really happened, or looking likely to.

I saw the same one on the BBC last year. Ding is probably the best chance of this happening this year Eggy, looking very very good at the moment.

Anyone see "the rack pack"

Good BBC film based around the rivalry of Stve Davis and Alex Higgins. Well worth a watch.

Not unless, to quote the late great Sid Waddell, he makes the greatest comeback since Lazarus

Ding looked so good in his first two games but was taken to the cleaners by Hawkins who actually has a solid record at The Crucible and will now face the winner of Williams and Carter. Despite financial interest in Williams' continued progress, I hope Carter prevails and goes on to beat Hawkins.

Two Semi-final places now sorted.

Barry Hawkins after his surprise win over Ding
Kyren Wilson after his surprise win over Mark Allen

Two left from Mark Williams, Ali Carter, John "the Cheater" Higgins and Judd "These Diamond shoes were a waste" Trump.

Anyone but Higgins please.
