Brilliant win for Bristol last night. Crowd of 26k. Poor discipline from Bath and I can see them struggling.
Off to nurse my hangover and wait for today's game

That was a cracking match ...the Saffers were down to 14 for most of the last 10 mins but still managed to withstand the Kiwi- kitchen sink that was flung at them. That included a missed conversion.
Re: Rugby union 2018/19
All Blacks snatched the win against South Africa in the last minute, after being 30-13 down. Just a fantastic game of rugby from start to finish. Can't see any of the northern hemisphere teams beating our southern cousins if i'm honest, home advantage or not.

Freddie Burns. What an absolute trouser snake. Utterly, utterly unforgivable.

Re: Rugby union 2018/19
^^^ Just been watching it as well, what an idiot.
For those who haven't seen it, Bath were two points down with a few minutes left. They get a penalty fifteen yards out in front of the posts, his kick hit the upright. Not to worry though, a couple of minutes later he breaks through the line and starts celebrating as he goes to touch the ball down with one hand, only a Tolouse player knows a try isn't scored until the ball's down and knocks it out of his hand.

Re: Rugby union 2018/19
Got hold of a couple of free tickets for the Toulouse-Wasps game on Staurday:
Had a great time (Nothing like football but then again, I wans't expecting it to be). On a sad note, there was a minutes applause for a young lad killed during the week in a tackle that went wrong, then a cracking game, that finished 42-27 with 8 tries in all.
Toulouse will take some stopping: Leinster and Clermont will be more likely candidates for the trophy but we should make it to the semis at least.
Dupont: watch out for him in the 6 nations: a real pocket rocket that todays ever-bigger players cannot lay a hand on. A bit Shane Williams meets Jason Robinson.
Joe Tekori is getting better and better too, and at 6 foot 6 and 20 stone, is one of the most imposing human beings I have ever seen: We saw him on the Toulouse equivalent of a Boris Bike the other week and it was almost ridiculous: like me (or a normal human) on a kid's first bike just after taking the stabilisers off.
Allez le Stade!

Re: Rugby union 2018/19
France better in every department, the Welsh are slow to get to the breakdown and are giving up turnovers far too often. It's like watching us against Wolves, the French want it more.

Re: Rugby union 2018/19
The ultimate game of two halves...Wales have performed like France did in the first half, and vice versa. Credit to both teams though...cracking game to watch as a neutral.

Weird seeing Ntumack in midfield for France. Only seems a few years ago when Jonny flattened his uncle.
