Re: Rugby union 2018/19
France played all their rugby in the first half. Either that or Gatland used his entire supply of cattle prods at half time.

On that performance, I don’t think we saw this year’s winners last night ... probably Ireland’s to lose.

Re: Rugby union 2018/19
You're probably right - it took a couple of mistakes by the French for Wales [ George North ] to capitalise on . Still , as Brucie would say ' Good Game , Good Game ' and a kick in the teeth for all the Welsh Rugby Haters on here .pablo jaye wrote:On that performance, I don’t think we saw this year’s winners last night ... probably Ireland’s to lose.

The French had one job to do for the benefit of all of humanity and they failed

I think Ireland v England will be very close. Henshaw could be found out at full back. Hes played there before earlier in his career, but id have him in the centre with Kearney at full back. For gamblers, i think England -9 @ evens is printing money

Never have I seen a side beat itself quite like the French did last night. Some utterly mindless play with the final looping pass that George North helped himself to particularly brainless.

Daly at FB is hardly much better. I think we’re in for a stuffing here, not helped Ireland getting away with their usual quota of blocking, nor the usual England players determinedly giving away needless penalties.djbubbles wrote:I think Ireland v England will be very close. Re: Rugby union 2018/19
Garces is reffing - he’s becoming as bad as Steve Walsh used to be. Hands on the ball in the ruck, blocking - Ireland are good enough to win without doing it, and it’s annoying when they do it anyway.alf git wrote:I'm sure there was a hand under the ball for the Irish try
They’ll still win, and they’ll probably get a slam this year, but it’d be nice if they did it without all that NZ-style naughty play.

Re: Rugby union 2018/19
England controlled the game from the start and to me the defining moment was not conceding a point on the yellow (that was not even a penalty).
Showed with a bit of discipline and organisation how you beat a limited, although well drilled, side.
Slam is for the taking and England's to lose.

Well done England. Better team from 1 to 15 on the day. Just like blocking is allowed, high knees on Keith Earls when nowhere near the ball must be allowed too. All part of the game i spose and if either team gets away with dark stuff, good luck to them.
