Autumn Internationals

Post by DasNutNock »

Reckon the Saffers are going to clobber us on saturday. They're missing that fantastic fly half of theirs, but I think their pack is generally better than ours.

I think we could be in for a rough Autumn. Our worst spell under Eddie Jones, could signal the end for him.

Meant scrum half, not fly half, but either way, I make you right about the long autumn. Not sure the RFU has the balls to ditch Jones just before a WC, though.

Very, very lucky win, IMO. The staffers won’t be pleased with that.

First half was awful, but I thought we were OK second half.

Would have been very disappointed if they'd pinged Farrell for that last tackle.
His left arm was wrapping around and with a guy that size dipping his shoulder into yours at that pace, its going to be very wrap both.

Wilson deservedly MotM, Mercer did well when he came on, as did Moon. Farrell was excellent throughout.

Personally thought Daly was poor, poor under high kicks and took a couple of wrong options going forward, could have put May in for a possible try but went on his own into traffic.

Daly had a better second half. He needs more time in the position. He'll get better there.

Anyone watching the League game on 2? England vs New Zealand is always a great test, today no different.

Yes Das, I watched it and was impressed with the way England dominated the 2nd half and beat a very good NZ team in the process. It was a lot better watch than the Union game yesterday - and that's rare for me to say that, as I find union rugby more watch able then league.

Was there on Saturday, taking in more sporting events as I have knocked my ST. Funny game to watch innit, not as spectator friendly as football, that may be me though not fully completely understanding the game.

Cracking atmosphere and the beer was flowing. Sweet Chariot is pretty spine tingling as well

ABs today. The main event, the big match, the top dogs, numero uno and all that. No matter how well you do to keep up with them in the first 40, they always have a 10 minute period in the second half when they absolutely demolish their opponent, and run in at least 2 tries.

Form suggests that anything less than a 14 point loss would be a decent achievement, though I do rather hope Jones isn't approaching it like that. I'd rather we lose by a big margin trying to take the game to them than lose by a few points trying to contain them for 80 minutes.

Can’t see us winning at all .... amongst many other things, we’ll have to watch out for their 10minute bursts before the end of each half, as they play on the fact that other sides naturally sun out of gas as the game goes on - the bench will be key.

As you say, if we are within 14 points, that will be respectable.

We'll lose. We seem to have regressed from 2 years ago, and need a kick up the arse and an improvement if we don't want a repeat of 2015 at the next WC.

100% stand by this as we score a try with 4½ to go...

Edit - f*** off that's offside.

Can’t have the precious precious ABs lose a game, can we. England showing a degree of clas the IRB can’t dream of matching.

Absolutely shocking decision from the TMO. You have to question the motives of the officials there.

They’re doing as they’re told by the IRB, who are told what to do by Adidas.
