Superbowl thread
So who is going to be cheering on the Rams, sorry watching the Superbowl?
I had plenty of holiday time to use up so I've taken tomorrow off. As a result I'm having a late one.
I assume KUMBers over the pond will be all over this.
Prediction: Rams 26 Pats 21

Re: Superbowl thread
I’d like to like American Football. I played Madden on the mega drive, I watched Channel 4 in the 80s, I know Bo Jackson. But there’s a fundamental problem with it, and that it’s not an international sport.
Septics love to bang on about how superior and amazing their ballers are, and they may very well be right - but at least with Union and League, we get to find out if that’s actually true.

Re: Superbowl thread
Yeah, obviously the World Champions bit is laughable.
I'm not a fan of rugby, just leaves me cold.
I find the throwing part of American Football leads to far more spectacular plays than Rugby can ever provide.
However I'm not looking forward to all the breaks and delays. The yanks do like to drag it all out.

Horns up! Lifelong Rams fan mate of mine saved up all his free bets on Skybet and put them all on Rams to win it prior to the season starting - he’s on for just over £4k.
Being a Bucs fan since 2002, I’ve gotten use to cheering for other teams recently. Let’s go Rams.

Re: Superbowl thread
I be watching. On nights as of tomorrow night so this feeds into my sleep pattern perfectly.
Tipped Rams before season started, but never backed them. However I’m not sure they’ll win tonight - I hope they do.
I’ve had a bet on Aaron Donald as MVP at 16s, Cordarrelle Patterson first TD at 28s (ex Raider so heart ruling head) and one of those request a bets at 80s where half a dozen things need to happen.
Think it’ll be a cracking game. Hoping Goffy and the Rams do it

loved the way the Rams won 2 weeks ago, terrific away win, and no fan of the patriots at all, so i'll be hoping for a Rams win, plus i have some good friends in LA and i can imagine theyll be having a mad one whatever happens

Seems the stadium is 75% Patriots bizarrely. Going to be like a home game for them.

Re: Superbowl thread
Just like a game in the UK
for example ManU versus Brighton
75% and higher band wagon jumpers
Pats are the ManU lot of the States...won so many Super Bowls and been in so many others....
amazing though because I would think hardly ANYONE likes Bellichik
loads of TB12 fans though - to be fair he's hard to dislike.....every year they needed to get under the salary cap he wangled his salary to take a pay cut - well they'll probably be paying him until 2030 though !!!!!!!!!!
plus he married two fantastic looking women, Bridget Moynahan and then Giselle isn't it ?
good start !!!!!

Watching this on the BBC
Got absolutely no idea what’s going on.
Nothing happens... keep stopping for a rest every 10 seconds. Catch the ball, fall over. Stop.
Bizarre.

Re: Superbowl thread
Considering there has been no score, it's a fascinating game.
It's really all about LA defence v Pats offense.
Rams showing great skills to contain Brady.
No sure about Rams on offence though, maybe they will adjust and get going as the game goes on

I agree, only my definition of fascinating is crap. Not a whole lot happening so far.
