that is one of the funniest things ive seen in a boxing match for a long time...eubank practically caught degale steaming into him and literally power slammmed him into the canvas

DeGale raises his arm at the end but it’s got to be Eubank all the way.

114-112 and 115-112, was never as close as that. Correct result though.

still cant look at eubank as a real quality world champ material...think he'll fall short. Tonight he was on it..too strong for degale 117-109 was the right scorecard tonight

I enjoyed that - Joyce reminds me a bit of foreman.

Degale looked spent.

Time for DeGale to retire while we can still remember the good times.

Degale knew his days are numbered, he relinquished his world title as he would’ve had to face Callum Smith. He got the pay day with Eubank, billing it as a grudge match. As much as I thought Degale would be too good for Eubank, I was thinking of Degale in his prime. His REAL career ended after that Badou Jack fight which was a war and he got concussed and lost his teeth. He should’ve ended it there in reality but the damage done in that fight effected his last 3 fights.

Eubank fought well, still think he won’t quite reach the heights he thinks he can but he showed lots of improvement to be fair to him. If he keeps going and listening to his new coach and not his old man then who knows.

All I know is as I left the o2 the other night, I was gutted. Followed Degale’s career and just felt deflated as a prime Degale would’ve walked that fight but as they say in boxing, the timing of fights is everything.

Eubank jnr beats a shot Abraham and an average Turkish nobody and people thought he was ready for the big time. George Groves deal with him comfortably, even when he had one arm for the final round. A year later he beats a completely shot Degale and there's people saying he should fight Smith. Yes he should, purely so we can be reminded that he hasn't got it in him to be a serious player at that weight.

Degale was an embarrassment, he asked for that body slam for stinking the fight out. The best part of the whole fight was Paulie ripping into him "you're gonna cry in the f**king morning when you've lost", absolutely brilliant!

DeGale and Groves coming out of retirement to fight each other in the next 2 years is going to happen isn’t it

This is one fight the I can't see happening. A lot of people give Degale stick but I don;t think his heart is in it anymore. Clearly he has struggled with injuries and I don't think he would put himself the embarrasment of another loss. Degale has completely gone and knows it, he would get schooled by Groves (even two years down the line.)

Shame to see him retire on the back of a loss against Eubank. Degale of 2 years ago would have wiped the floor with him.

Decent scrap to start tonight’s TV card. Chris Jenkins beats Johnny Garton by UD and wins the British welterweight title.

Yarde looked decent tonight as well, turned it on when he had to and finished the fight. The lad’s got some serious power.

Time for Yarde to step up. I think he might be as good as he seems but we just don’t know yet. Needs a decent name next.
