He shouldn't. He is much better than Wilder. Listening to a lot of boxing "experts" on radio/ tv etc. in the last couple of weeks, and most said they felt Joshua would stall with arranging a fight with either of these fighters, that it would be a business decision and not a boxing decision. He's box office, they're not. They don't bring the same ability to put bums in seats, fill outdoor stadia etc., blah, blah, blah. Whether it's business or boxing, if he drags out arranging a bout Mayweather style, then I'm against that. I just want to see the top fighters fight the top fighters. It's one of the things that drives me mad about boxing. All of the dancing out of the ring gets tiresome. Just fight.NorthBankAlliance wrote:Either way, habe a rematch and let Joshua stew on the sidelines. He'd probably refuse to fight either of these boys anyhow.
EDIT: Draw. Yeah, that doesn't work. Fury won that. Guess we knew a draw was coming.
Why would Joshua who holds 3 of the 4 main belts, & can sell out 100k at Wembley be stewing on the sidelines?
If an awful Wilder can knock Fury down twice, Joshua (a superior boxer to Wilder, & a more concussive puncher) will easily have more success...
His resume easily stands up to Wilders as well, so why would he swerve him?

I agree with all of that.
Joshua hasn’t swerved anyone as of yet though, his resume is far stronger than Wilder’s, hence why he’s claimed & retained the WBA, WBO & IBF...

Bods can’t (rightly) claim the judging in the US as being bent, & then in the same breath slate fighters for not wanting to fight over there when they hold the majority of the cards over here...

This. Fair play to the man.Lee_WHU wrote:Beggars belief, that. Wilder by 4????? On your ****ing bike judge, proper bent.
Full credit to Tyson Fury, he can be an ****hole in and out of the ring but nobody can deny the man the kudos he deserves for coming back from rock bottom to getting sparked out by Deontay Wilder and still rising and winning the fight. He's come back from somewhere lower than the bottom of that mat... just unbelievable.

Re: Boxing thread
Whyte must be chuffed, if he beats Chisora he is getting paid next Spring or Summer.
Re: Boxing thread
Team AJ don’t want the fight with either of these two. They want to milk the cash cow for as long as possible. Anyway, fury and wilder have proven that he’s the 3rd best boxer in the world right now.

Staggering statement that.jacko wrote:Team AJ don’t want the fight with either of these two. They want to milk the cash cow for as long as possible. Anyway, fury and wilder have proven that he’s the 3rd best boxer in the world right now.
No HW is even Top 5 P4P, unless you mean Joshua is the 3rd best HW which again is mind boggling...
Re: Boxing thread
AJ is the 3rd best HW.
Fury’s victory against VK was much more impressive that AJs . AJ has beat everyone in front of him but they are the beat of a mediocre bunch. But he doesn’t fancy either of these two.

Fury hasn’t been about to face, & Wilder has swerved both Whyte & Joshua in the last year alone.
Wilder is massively inferior to Joshua.

Re: Boxing thread
AJ has never ever boxed a fight like fury did against VK. Instead he beat him two years later. I like AJ. He could be excellent. But if he’s not fighting wilder or fury soon then questions need to be asked.

If Wilder allows Fury the rematch what choice does Joshua have though?jacko wrote:AJ has never ever boxed a fight like fury did against VK. Instead he beat him two years later. I like AJ. He could be excellent. But if he’s not fighting wilder or fury soon then questions need to be asked.
Not like Whyte hasn’t earned a shot at a title either in the meantime?
Wilder was the one who renagaded on agreed terms with Joshua, he’s the one who ****ed that up...

Whytes come on since then, & is legitimate mandatory in most people’s eyes for Wilder’s WBC Belt.jacko wrote:Whyte? He’s a league below. AJ has already beaten him. The AJ hype machine will give the right more significance. They are very good at their job.
Whyte Wilder isn’t a foregone conclusion...

That’s just the version of events that Hearn keeps telling peopleNorthBankAlliance wrote:Wilder was the one who renagaded on agreed terms with Joshua, he’s the one who ****ed that up...
I don’t believe that AJ is scared, but Hearn knows what he is doing money wise. With Whyte and Usyk both under Matchroom, Hearn can get a few more paydays out of Joshua before he has to fight Wilder or Fury.
Until the best fight the best, there will be views and opinions on who is the best out of the bunch
