Ridiculous performance from Billy Joe. He has under performed in some of his fights against lower opposition, but he really does step it up when he is the underdog. That really was was something special.

On that form he beats Alvarez, which is why the fight will never happen. That was a boxing masterclass from BJS, as good as anything you'll see at any weight, he totally ruined Lemeiux, bewildered him.

Absolutely outstanding. Made Lemieux look like a bloke who had just started boxing, he was perplexed and did not as much as lay a glove on BJS. Lemieux's interview after was a joke as well, talk about sour grapes. That was a boxing masterclass and deserves to be recognised as such. Hope he gets the big fight with GGG/Canelo. He beats both if he boxes like that.

I think Saunders will have to beat both Jacobs and Charlo first before he can get a crack at either Alvarez or Golovkin. I honestly think he'd outbox all but Golovkin, who's power could prove telling. Golovkin out boxed Jacobs and he out boxed Alvarez, people often forget that.

Finally caught up with the fight, a re-run on BoxNation. It was, as you say, a masterclass. Wonderful movement from Saunders.

Interesting how a number of journalists and people in boxing, across the pond, are saying that Saunders didn't do enough to earn a fight with either Golovkin or Alvarez. They know that Saunders would be an absolute nightmare for Alvarez. People seem to be believing Lemeiux's bulls**t that Saunders was running, just look at the state of his face at the end of the fight, he's lucky it wasn't stopped. Saunders is the last thing Alvarez and Golden Boy need as they know more controversy will follow, Alvarez has had no end of dodgy judging in his bigger fights, Mayweather, Lara, Trout and, of course, Golovkin. He won't knock out BJS, he couldn't knock out a drained Chavez jr ffs, so another dodgy judge call could seriously taint him.

Does anyone else think that BJS victory validates Eubank Junior as a better fighter than many think?

NO if he beats groves that might mean Eubank Junior as a better fighter than many think.

saunders was not as fit then as he is now and would beat him more convincingly now, i would be impressed if eubank could beat lemieux though

What would have validated Eubank Jr as a better fighter than people think is if he could have found his pen.

If Groves beats him, which I think he will, Eubank jnr will go after DeGale, knowing that this is the best time to fight him whilst also drawing in the public with it being an all British fight. Eubank Jr has to beat Groves otherwise nobody will take him seriously

Fury wants Joshua for his first fight back, no chance. I think he should crucify David Price first, then smash up one of the contenders before setting up a huge fight with Joshua to finish off the year.

Should go

Shannon Briggs - First fight back, both can talk, bizarrely a lot of people want to see it
Then one or two reasonable opponents, preferably a durable one to test his fitness
Then back on with the big boys

Briggs is still considered a contender and has been talked about for title fights, they both want to fight each other too and Tyson has said he thinks the whole thing would be fun, I want to see him smash up that "Stiff idiot" Price first though

Khan vs Broner a possibility for March, I think Khan would win that one providing he conditions himself well. Broner is a big name but at 147 he'd look like a bum and Khan would be too fast for him.

Very true but Broner at 147 is a joke, he has no power at that weight and won't be able to outbox Khan.

That was late on when Porter was tired and already had the fight in the bag, it wasn't a particularly great shot and Porter laughed it off. Since that defeat he hasn't done enough to improve. I think Khan has enough to seriously trouble him and get a points win, it's a fight I'd really like to watch as I'm sure it will be entertaining, Broner will fancy his chances and Khan always comes to fight, whatever anyone says or thinks about him there is no denying that he is always in entertaining fights because he just comes forward at any opportunity.
