We're turning our noses up at Mancini now  We really will not be able to attract anyone better than Mancini, who is a very good coach. If he wanted to come here, he would be an excellent apointment. AND it would show that our ownder do have ambition, because Mancini would not work with no budget.norse wrote:Of the listed lot - Mancini, but ideally none of those.
So voted "none of the above"

Re: Poll: the managerial shortlist
Mancini is the standout candidate on that list but I just can't see him coming to us.
I know it sounds very unmodern and xenophobic but I would prefer a British manager or someone with experience in the country - which I suppose counts in Mancini, Bilic and Zola who have all played here. I wouldn't mind someone like Johnson, Martinez or even Irvine (Coleman although I worry he'd be a bit of a boyo!) being given the chance to step up although of course there is no chance of that happening and it wouldn't go down well with the fans. Which is why I won't even bring Alan Devonshire's name up
For now I'm going with none of the above just because I'm unsure - I'll be fully behind whoever comes in though.

Re: Poll: the managerial shortlist
Did anyone hear that story about someone asking Will Hill if they could stick a tenner on Barack Obama taking over - so he was offered odds of 10,000/1! Maybe he's candidate number six, it would explain the secrecy
I guess the reason some people have voted Houllier is that he took Liverpool to their highest ever Premier League finish, won the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and Carling Cup and generally did alright there. I'm not saying he would be my first choice or anything but I can understand why people would vote for him.

Re: Poll: the managerial shortlist
Bilic or Mancini for me but fear neither will take the job,not sure what Zola"s managerial experiance/qualifications are at this time,I personally dont think any of the supposed six in question will become our new manager

Already noted that to my friend UG, Mancini, PDC and Ludo all sharing the bench.............hormonal heavenupton girlie wrote: Mancini is the best looking one out of that lot, so I'll go for him.
With PDC as his assistant I may have to change my seat in the stadium.
On a serious note though, I don't think Mancini would say "yes boss, no boss" enough to BG and his jolly gang.

Re: Poll: the managerial shortlist
I voted for Mancini. However, if given 2 votes, my second would have been Bilic. Most of us on here appear to be on the same wavelength. I am intriued as to who numero six is.

PS...did you know that Balti pies are hydrogenated fat-free, with no artificial colours, additives or flavourings?
