Surely the second option will get the majority vote.

I'm sitting between the first two. We are weak in every area of the squad now, but the first xi hasn't been weakened at all for my money and given the well-documented problems we've had, I'm delighted with that and I couldn't have asked for more from the board. Now if they can sell up, we're still in a very good position to build in the summer. And if not, we hopefully have a strong enough base to stay in a decent position until such time that we can be sold, be it months or years.

I'm delighted simply on the basis that we got soooooo much money for Craig Bellamy. Honestly, bonkers, bonkers deal. I now know how Newcastle felt when we turned up and offered them £6 million for Dyer.

Reduced the wage bill, got shot of etherington and most importantly didn't sell Upson. For me, he is the key to our success.

Personally am delighted we didn't sell Upson, Green, Parker or Behrami. Was convinced we were selling Upson, and to be honest was disappointed with losing Bellamy (although not after he proved himself to be a cock of the highest order, which I guess we all knew already) but 14m is good business.

Reasonably happy. We've raised a decent amount of money, hopefully reduced the wage bill with not much reduction in squad quality and spent a record amount on a player who is supposed to be very promising. There being no fire sale is neither here nor there as it was never going to happen. Could have done with a couple of players in just to keep the bench strong.

i agree, although i think the word cover should be replaced by quality as i believe all areas ARE suitably covered. but maybe the quality that would come in if we got some injuries in key areas would be a problem.

It could have been a lot worse.

A little concerned if the goals dry-up, which could happen if CC returns to anything like his streaky form we have seen in the past, we are a little thin on the ground with unproven back-ups up front.

But I'll echo others on this thread - I am optimismabound for the future.

Compared with what I had feared, I'm reasonably happy. Wish we'd pulled off the couple of last-day signings that were discussed in the media, but overall, we've reduced what was a fairly large squad, got in a proven international and a ****-hot prospect.

The majority of the response will be positive. We have not sold Parker, Green or Upson. We have replaced when needed and signed a guy who is listed as promising. Those who did not want to be at the club (Bellamy, Davenport, Faubert) are gone and we can properly replace in a more settled enviroment in the summer

It's a balance of managing our own expectations against a "perfect" squad. January is not normally the time of year to create a squad, more a case of reinforcing one. Considering the "awful plight" we were supposed to be in, I err on the quitely delighted side.

Wouldn't mind an out and out striker and maybe a midfielder.
All in all I'm happy thst the club got rid of a lot of dead weight and players that weren't happy at the club (Davenport and Sacre bleau).
I'm satisfied with the fact that the only first teamer to leave was Bellamy.

I'm optimistic, but due to lack of cover in certain areas, we'll have to rely on a bit of luck when it comes to injury.
By the way, how far is f*** yeah! from being match fit? Anyone know?

Could have two votes - players that have been shipped out, players that have been brought in.

Bit worried about our striking options if DDM or Cole lose their form, but we're all but safe so there shouldn't be overwhelming pressure on us to get goals due to our relative safety.

Am over the moon we kept Upson and Parker.

If Savio's as good a prospect as many people say I'm pleased with our activity this window.

Ilunga's the icing on the cake.

Ozza: you're not making this easy :)

The question is 'which of the following statements do you most agree with?' - not 'which one do you absolutely agree with'. The second option would be most applicable, no?
