Gazzetta has a little pice about "l'attaccante" Diamanti joining Brescia Calcio. That would make him a forward....

Good luck to him. He did a good job at West Ham, scored a few good goals, and helped the team to a few points along the way.

Skipped around the video interview a bit. He said London is a marvelous city and he loved his time there. Also said he's always ready -- and was always ready and capable of playing 90 minutes for us. He also said that the West Ham supporters are fantastic -- nothing comparable to those in Italy. He also lists Gianluca Nani being a friend of his as one of the motives for joining Brescia.

My translation is almost literal: As in better. With no equal in Italy.

He also referred to himself, or perhaps his new position at Bresia, as a trequartista.

He helped keep us up and for that we should wish him well at his new club.

"Thanks for the penalties / Of things I can forget / Journeys in the wet .......etc".

Financially he seems to have gone in a straight swap for Obinna So

I used to like him before you got involved and bleated about it mercilessly!

Be interesting to see if he makes an impact in Serie A. Fancy a little BMF bet on how many he scores from open play at Brescia Chub Chubs??

Thing is Musclehead, I've never given an opinion on how good he is or would be.

I don't know how well he will do at Brescia, or how well he would have done at West Ham, had he played in his correct position as a forward, partnering Cole, playing just off of him.

All I ever said - in admittedly more words than was necessary - was that it's ridiculous to judge a player on so many things when he has been played completely out of position.

It just gets frustrating hearing the same tired **** being wheeled out regarding his ability and performances, when it's all being judged on things he shouldn't even be doing, so then it's also difficult to hear the same people spout the same ****, without feeling the need to put it straight

I agree.

Hope he does well as regardless of how well or poorly he's played for us, he's always had good words to say about us.

I shall miss him, he never gave less than 100% commitment, a modern day Billy Bonds.

I never liked him anyway...

I lie... sad to see him go... He had no consistency but I was hoping this season he'd find it.... (No chance after our start to the season!)... Good luck to him in the future but onwards and upwards and all that.

Frees up those important squad places for Obinna and Demel

So even Diamanti himself disagrees with RARS about where he plays.....

The things you learn on here....

I know when a topic has been exhausted when counter argument reaches desperate levels enough on a matter I have been correct on, alas:

... and with Diamanti's words of 'I'm a second striker/forward' justifying what I have been saying for months, but still remaining open to desperate semantic interpretation to some of you.... boys... I shall leave you to it...

Enjoy
