If the requirement to keep the running track were to be removed, how would you redesign the stadium for 50,000?
rebuild the lower tier, first putting the corprate boxes under the upper tier then start the lower tier from the front of the boxes going forward to meet the pitch. it would then have the same rake as now and could be slightly squared up at the front.

I thought the upper tier was a temporary structure, the lower being permanent.

I have a suspicion I may be over simplifying things here. :?
Because you also need to provide drainage for the pitch. And if the pitch is at or below the level of the surrounding water table, there's no way the water can drain away.

Miles from the pitch, however they try and mock it up.

Nice to see the pods are still in place.

Also will I still be able to leave the pub at 2:45pm pop in the bookies and still get in the ground for kick off. :thdn:

The walk from Stratford Station is a lot further than it is from UP station too.

Like being confronted with an incredibly hairy vagina, if that is how far away from the pitch we would be I will be very disappointed if we end up at that stadium.

Just as when confronted with an incredibly hairy vagina I will be leaving immediately and going home.

If we could turn the OS into something akin to the Nottingham Stadium, Forests new ground on those pics, then we'd be onto a winner. Similar shape, just stands very close to the pitch.

Well SADLY it looks like the running track WILL remain , personally im gutted and totally against this idea :thdn: id much rather we stayed at the boleyn .. or found a 3rd option, im NOT against moving to stratford and the olympic stadium .... but NOT with the friggin running track... having the running track (being so far from the pitch) WILL destroy the atmosphere .

And as stated before, i know many supporters who feel so strongly about this.. that they would demonstrate against this

totally agree.... watching games that far away from the pitch is going to destroy everything that makes watching West Ham home games special :thdn:
