When comparing him to Premiership keepers he is about the middle of the lot, so to me he is an average Premiership keeper.

Green's a key player. Best keeper in the chumpionship by a mile and that's all that counts at the moment.
Probably the best bit of business we did this summer was keeping him.

Not bad going for a Championship side to have an average Premiership keeper ....D C wrote:When comparing him to Premiership keepers he is about the middle of the lot, so to me he is an average Premiership keeper.

No way we use to constantly just pass the ball around the back four and end up so deep and so much pressure on us we would have to loft it in the end.Arch Dandy wrote:Greens kicking is woeful in terms of accuracy and speed, he puts us under more pressure than any single outfield player as a result. He was at his best under Zola (IIRC) when he rolled the ball out.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2011-2012
First I've heard of this... Apologies if it has been discussed on here already...
It is from that most reliable of sources... Vitalfootball I wonder if he was one of the trialists against QPR who went on his way? With the transfer window shut and the loan window open, there does still exist the opportunity to sign those players who are deemed as free agents.
One such player is David Carney.
Freed by Blackpool at the end of last season, the 27 year old Australian has been with West Ham the past week with a view to obtaining a contract.
With his previous clubs including Everton, Norwich and Sheffield United, as well as Blackpool, his versatility could be beneficial to West Ham.
We await any official news from Upton Park.

Adzman on Twitter says that we have offered Carney a 1 year contract and have told Illunga to find himself a new club.
