Clean out and start again? Please, are you serious? How many times have i heard that over the years? How many times do we have to do that! The fact is, we have no strikers who are capable of scoring a goal between them. Thats its, bottom line. Its not the manager, he is working with what he has, which on the base of it, is a pretty good team, atleast on paper.

Probably a good idea to stay off here tonight.

Jesus Christ. I don't know any manager that could come in now and magically get anything out of Carlton Cole and Petric. We have no attack. We have A LOT of injuries

The Daves have to carry the can for this

Downing has been an excellent signing. He has put in quality after quality ball into the box. The problem is we have no one to get on the end of them.

Explain these decisions then:

- Leaving Diame out, then bringing him on as a wide player (he destroyed Chelsea last year)
- Bringing Maiga on, he shouldn't be playing in this league (Carlton also run Chelski ragged last year)
- Not playing a striker for so long, even taking a punt on a youngster
- Never subbing Nolan, or dropping him when he is being a complete passenger
So by you're reckoning, he should have started Diame because 'he destroyed Chelsea last year' but not have Maiga play even though he scored a worldy against them last term. :eh:

Which youngster should he have taken a punt on? The reality is that perhaps none are currently good enough.

Dropping last season's top scorer and club captain seems counterproductive at a time when we need goals and on-pitch direction.

I'm not saying the 4-6-0 formation will revolutionise the beautiful game but WHL will live long in the memory. In fact, if Mourinho had done it, there would be a media wankfest about how he managed to score 3 away from home despite not having any forwards. I see our current form as a blip rather than a downward spiral.

- Downing our only improvement to attack in the summer, a winger suited to a target man.
- our only decent striker injured without a return date, and not exactly prolific before that.
- No plan B, evident from the previous season, I said we needed a different type of striker as well as a target man, one to get in behind.

But no, FFP and second fiddle to Carroll, was the message.

False economy, we looked ****ed, where are the goals going to come from. OS on the horizon. Nice one Daves.

Don't give me the **** about the Carroll money that was spent, said it before, it was money that should have been invested last season. I also don't care what other teams have spent, we needed a massive overhaul, it comes at a price, we tried to do it on the cheap, welcome to our current predicament.

Wonder where all the posts of congratulations to The Board were when we finished 10th. Every time after a defeat the same old hysterical nonsense. :D

Downing for five million was a bargain......they were the ones who decided to implement FFP early when the rest of the Prem ignored it.

Let's sack Sam and bring in a manager who has to work with a team that is only built for the type of football Sam prefers.

You won't get a Pocchettino with this type of owners, so why calling for the managers head if you would get f.e. Iain Dowie?

Keep the faith

See what happens in January. I like the fact it feels like we won't knee jerk sack. Couple of wins and there will be a different tune.

Maiga has been **** this season, every time he has played, Diame has not.

Elliott Lee, why not play him against Norwich, see how he gets on?

What has Nolan done this season?

In a relegation fight, not a goal in us, I think we need to have a rejig.

For the first time since he took over, I thought he lost the plot ( a bit).

Suicide to get rid of Sam for two reasons:

1) What better manager could we realistically get?
2) Team is built around an injured striker with no return date

How can a new manager change it around, we literally don't have the personnel.

and if you believe the Daves, we can't spend anyway because of financial ****ing fair play that no one is bothered about. So we can't change it around much in January anyway.

If I was a decent manager, I wouldn't touch the job with a barge pole
