Overall, a very good window, our best for many years. Happy with most of the signings and all have improved the balance of the squad - the ingredients are now there.

Yes it was real big of him not to take a 40k a week paycut to join a premierleague club

QPR have a loyal bunch of players there was about 15 of them who stayed thick with the club once they where relegated when they could of quite easily moved elsewhere for 50K a week less , loyal bunch that are :arry: and his players

Kouyate , Song, Cresswell, Poyet, Jenkinson look ok .

Not at all convinced by Valencia or Zarate

Sakho - might be ok , looks better than Valencia to me .

Could really have used a 4th CB .
I think it`s been a really good window for us tbh

Song is a fantastic signing and a real coup for the club

Song and Koyate can both play at CB, and perhaps we`ll pick a 4th "true" CB on a freebie.

Sakho could do well up front, still not entirely happy with that position

Very happy with our business. Nastasic would have been the icing on the cake but we can't have everything. Well done to the Daves & Sam.
Feeling good. No doubt Diame will score against us and piss on my chips. It's the West Ham way.

Would have Gabbidon & Kusjzack (ex-Man Utd goalkeeper) from the free transfer list.

Gabbidon is a lot worse than Burke these days.

My thoughts exactly, I'd say the emergence of Burke has saved the club money on getting another cb in, and so it should.

Well I for one am glad we didn't re-sign Gabbidon or Etherington. :phew:

And if Amalfitano plays instead of Vaz Te then that'll do for me.

Still leaves the question where will Valencia play, he doesn't look like he's cut out as a lone striker for me.

bobd_uk wrote:Amalfitano says he wants to play behind the striker. So that's him, Zarate, Nolan and Morrison all best suited to that one spot then!
Nolan is 32 and starting to wane, Morrison might not have his head sorted, so that only leaves a straight fight with Zarate

Just been googling. Almalfitano's natural position is a righty.

So basically he'll fight with Downing for the position on the right whilst Vaz Te will continue on the left until Jarvis regains fitness??

Surely not. If this it true we're overloading in certain positions but leaving ourselves light in others like LW and CB. :?
