I genuinely believe that he is doing what he thinks is best and trusts his own judgement, probably looks down at the porn dwarfs and thinks to himself that they haven't got a clue what they are talking about. Still, I'm not too bothered about the last window, dodged a few bullets and kept our 1st team squad together.
I'm struggling to understand how he would see how well we did in the early part of the season, hear the plaudits of the football press (which has been in plentiful supply). Even wax lyrical in post match interviews about the benefit of Downing in the middle, then move away from that formation back, to all intents and purposes, to the style that caused the board to give him an ultimatum at the end of last season. I understand that he has had to play Carroll, and I agree that the opportunity to play Sakho and Valencia has not been as possible as some people have suggested. What makes things worse for me is that in the games that he has started with Downing out wide, he has had to move him inside to impact the game, yet he continues to do it. It just makes no sense.

Has Reid "signed" for Spurs or not? If so and he is "our Sol Campbell" can we boo him? I personally never want to see him in a WHU shirt again.

I've said on here that as the present squad had got us so far, and assuming Reid stays until June, that we didn't need to add to this squad until we have to re-assess in the summer, post Reid, Song and Jenks. I would however have kept Zarate as an impact sub. I'm delighted we have dodged so many bullets, Fletcher, Distin and bloody Adebayour, what in god's name were we thinking! So thanks Levy for that ,as I assume the CC WBA deal was dependant on Adebayour coming. Rather have CC anyday. CB injuries could derail any top ten finish but what the heck, 36 points in January we couldn't have dreamed of back in August. Love to see a couple of youngsters eased in towards the end of the season just as Rio was all those years ago and onwards and upwards next season. What's not to like.

Once all our injuries have cleared up it will be interesting to see whether Reid is a first pick. I appreciate that he is not obliged to tell the club what his plans are but if he is not 1st choice that'll definitely hint to his exit. He can be under no illusions as to the hatred felt for Spurs so if he has made his choice to go there, I won't wish him well. I don't think I'm alone in thinking that any other club and he'd get a round of applause on his return but with these, it'll be hostile to say the least. Not that that'll bother him - one visit a season barring meetings in the cups. I'm still quietly confident that he'll stay. I could actually see, based on Monday's issues that the club might go back with a slightly improved offer to entice him to stay.

I wonder what Reid thinks about Levy's animosity towards West Ham? If he quietly led them up the garden path that he was going to sign for him... then at the last moment stuck two fingers up to Spuds and re-signed for us... I'd love it, LOVE IT!!

I'm told it's one we want to secure, but it'll depend if Allardyce is still here.

Adebayor rejected £1million per month moveApparently, he and his family want to stay in London. Alex Song was very disappointed that his team mate of five years at Arsenal hadn't joined us because "he is just the kind of player we need". So, he'll obviously be in claret and blue on July 1st.

Yobo another Song recommendation I suppose. Let's stick with what we've got. Song can play CB I've seen him do it planty of times for Barca so I'm sure we can muddle through.

Clearly to fit in our Kev then BFS has to play Downing out wide. It is utterly wrong but he'll do it again this Sunday. I said before that our early season form was an accident because of the injuries to Carroll and Nolan and I stick by that. Come on Sam bench Nolan, I dare you!!!

This is transfer news? Anyway, still very uneasy at the idea of having to possibly see O'Brien and Song playing CB vs Man Utd at the weekend. I think it was a very poor window for us, we really needed a CB after finishing up on the weekend with all 3 injured.

Perhaps he would find things easier in our side, but I remember him playing for Norwich last season and he really looked very poor. I randomly ended up at Scotland vs Nigeria at Craven Cottage last summer and he looked even worse then.

As a 4th choice, Yobo will do.
I really hope he dosn't spend too much time on the pitch, mind.

Ironsjh I didn't mean Song and Yobo playing together. We don't need Yobo, play Song and whoever we've got fit now. If not it'll be JOB and or/Demel and surely a player of Songs experience will be a better bet!
