Re: Zarate to QPR

It certainly seems a strange one to me.

Only reason I can think of is that we have someone coming in and we need to free up a few quid in wages.

He wants first team action to press a claim for the south America cup thing, we can't guarentee him that, not that surprising

That's exactly what I have in mind. I reckon we're going to look to bring a midfielder in, along with that Doneil Henry. I don't know why, as we will only be losing Kouyate. Just promote Poyet to the bench. The only other position we need is a back up left back for Cresswell.

I don't want us to help :arry: in any way, shape or form, but maybe this will help us.

I like Zarate. He offers us something different. But there are better forward players keeping him out of the side and IF he manages an extended run in QPR's first team it might give us a truer glimpse of what kind of player we have. Up to now I've not been convinced he's anything more than an interesting impact sub for us. First team football elsewhere might tell our management if he can be more than that.

Should be far more focused on getting rid of turds like Jarvis and RVT rather than dumping a player who's never really been given a chance here. All for the sake of £40k. CL you are having a laugh.

Yup cl some of our fans are having a laugh.

We're not dumping him, he's going on loan as he wants first team action to press for a place in the chilli an national squad.

As for calling players at the club turds........classy :D

I might just be over analysing the comment but with Sulli saying
we've got the luxury of buying for the future.
I'm wondering if they might want to repeat the success they had with Cresswell from Ipswich and might look to a few of the young players in the Championship. Plenty of decent players that could step up if brought into an established and confident squad. Players from Derby, Bournemouth, Ipswich or Brentford could all offer options.

Austin might have been a John Lyall target , Jackhammer , he doesn't look like a player that Sam Allardyce would fancy [ to me anyway ] .

That nice helpful Mr Sullivan reminded us yesterday that our wage cap this year net of NI contributions is £49,122,000 .That has to include agents fees as well .

Players who aren't playing will be shifted off the books and show ponies like Zarate are sensibly the first to get moved out .

If only we could get shot of Matt Jarvis who has never quite done it for us , and for RvT who is surplus to requirements.

A combination of Zarate+Morrison+Vaz Te+Jarvis is probably circa £90k-£100k a week.

Easily get two good players.

The kind that would see some of our older and more maligned players become increasingly surplus.

Didn't he play at right back for them sometimes ?
Never convinced me: didn't seem to relish the physical battle at CB and not nimble enough for RB, I think Spurs got lucky that Bilic - who managed him for Croatia - wanted him at Lokomotiv Moscow.

If we're loaning out zarate I can't wait to to see the player who replaces him, if he's not better the board and big sam have a lot to answer for.

A real chance of challenging for Europe and they loan out a player of zarate's ability, madness. He doesn't play but we only have 3 fit strikers one of which hasn't played a full season since he's been here.

Zarate is not one of the players we should be looking to axe, RVT, Jarvis, Cole, Morrison could all easily be shifted in the summer, there are enough clubs in the bottom half iPod the prem and top half of e championship that would take them.

Shame about Zarate if true. He's' never really been given a chance in his favoured position as a forward and IMO he has the best shooting technique out of everyone at the clube. He rarely hits one off target. Would have been interesting to give him a run as 1 of the 2 strikers.

I wonder if Livermore and Huddlestone have the desire to fight hard to keep Hull up ? How long can Palace retain Jedinak ?

We have a number of players, who will never start a game, unless suspensions or injuries.

We'll sell any of those players, in any transfer window. As any other club would.

Which of those players leave first, is merely up to chance.

Really wish we'd managed to include Zarate more - Alex Song aside, there's no-one at the club who I more enjoy watching play.

In any other year I think he would have been a star for us.
