Transfer Window: January 2015

Post by whizzer »

With silly season just a week away and with bits of info appearing in different threads I think it's about time we had one place for all information.

Would definitely take him, added bonus is he can play either RB or CB.

Mods - please merge this with the other existing thread on January priorities / transfers which is already up to page 26 or 27 on the same topic. Cheers in advance.

As we are going to lose Song and Kouyate in January I`d like to see us get a strong midfielder on loan to fill in until they return.Swansea have got cover for Bony and Southampton are getting Elia to cover Mane. We`ve got 4 forwards to cover for Sakho so should be ok barring injuries.I`d also like a keeper bought in to compete/cover for Adrian.

My money is on no players in, unless it's to cover for the African Nations.
We just need to not sell anyone, that's what is important in January.

We could really do with another quality DC and a good back up DL
but the David's will be looking at the table and thinking "it's not worth bothering"

In Daily Mail about Lassana Diarra working with our physio. I think he would be a decent signing if he's fit on a free. Perhaps a short term deal until the summer to prove himself. He would be decent back up while Song and Kouyate are at ACON

any back up to Song would not only have to be good in putting tackles in..he'd have to have a great passing ability on him as well..those midfielders are hard to come by..affordable ones anyways.

He's still only 29 but I wonder if he's too small for Sam's opinion of a defensive midfielder. Also some doubt over Lokomotiv Moscow still holding his registration and blocking a move to Celtic a few months ago. Not sure of the whole store there but they sacked him after not turning up for training in August 2014.

We'll lack is a bit of physical zip if Song and Kouyate both go to AFCON and he was always a very busy player IIRC, so I could understand it. His CV will be right up Sam and the Gullies' street.

100+ games for Real Madrid, 28 caps for France, still only 29. On a free.

Fit and anything like he used to be, it would be a bargain.

I wouldn't mind if we went in for Lucas from victimpool, would be cover for Song if he goes to acon. I shall now retire to my fallout shelter don my steel helmet and await the fallout,
