Think we'd be mad not to try and get Danny Ings in on a free.

I would love it if Danny Ings came to West Ham but fear there will be huge competition for his signature .CorkHammer91 wrote:Think we'd be mad not to try and get Danny Ings in on a free.

Tottenham will be looking for a replacement for Harry Kane when Real Madrid come knocking .

I think Adam Johnson could be a useful addition if the wages/fee were workable, and (no disrespect) would be a better option for us than Jarvis.
Other than that, Song + Jenkinson, and, of course, a top CB...Shawcross would be ideal because he is proven over many seasons. If Reid were to stay, I would be happy with Huth as the 4th CB we've been missing.
As for general upgrades, that will depend on the board's level of ambition.

He wouldn't come down South, there were loads of offers from London clubs before he left City and Boro and they were all rejected. He loves being the big dog around where he grew up. He's got a lengthy contract on big wages as well.the celestial insect wrote:I think Adam Johnson could be a useful addition if the wages/fee were workable, and (no disrespect) would be a better option for us than Jarvis.

I'd be keeping an eye on PSG's incomings in midfield - Cabaye and Lavezzi are both approaching 30 and could be moved on. Obviously the hard part is convincing them to come here if that happens.
Pairing one of those two with Song in midfield, plus Kouyate and Downing, would most likely be the best midfield we'd ever had.

I try to to get too emotional and over the top about football, but I'd rather sh*t in my hands, clap and then lick them clean than have Huth here.the celestial insect wrote:I would be happy with Huth as the 4th CB we've been missing.

The fact we couldn’t get the Lassana Diarra deal across the line was probably more my fault than his.
I thought it was a simple contract cancellation — but it wasn’t as straightforward as that. Maybe I should have investigated the circumstances more thoroughly before we negotiated for more than three weeks.
It turned out it wasn’t a mutual contract cancellation between Lassana and his previous club, Lokomotiv Moscow, and didn’t fulfil the Fifa criteria on signing players outside the transfer window.
We may well return to him in the summer. Lassana is a fine player who needs to resurrect his career and re-establish himself as the player he used to be.

Shelvey could be a realistic option, whether hes actually a warranted starter or not. Monk has called him lazy this year and Shelvey's wife had a bit of a pop at Monk on twitter t'other day

My conspiracy thinking cap tells me the Diarra deal was pulled....Sam seemed very disappointed about not signing him

Wonder if he'll continue to train with us to keep fit
May not actually be resolved in the summer either though - seems something of a stand off which may need to go to court

Re: Ideal ins and out's in the summer? (Realistic(ish) only)
rumours are ings would command a £6million compo fee to burnley for training him etc
for that money would we be better off with him or austin? if they both went down

Ings 100%, Austin's goals have dried up and he's 4 years older and just not as good IMO.mumbles87 wrote:rumours are ings would command a £6million compo fee to burnley for training him etc

With Crouchend saying he's heard that Sullivan wants Howe, did Howe manage Ings at Bournemouth or Burnley?

Burnley - He bought Austin, Ings, Vokes, and Trippier. He has an excellent eye for a player. Currently showing the same at Bournemouth.

If Howe wants to bring Trippier and Ings in with him then welcome aboard
