Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
A good window, in fact a very good window. The right personnel have left - Jarvis, sorry it just weren't meant to be and the right personnel have stayed - Yes Ginge, that's you. We have lost Maiga too, so overall we have strengthened our squad which is all you can ask for really.
Well Done to the board and now lets get behind the team and Slav and make it a season worth remembering. COYI

Here's a piece by Owen Gibson that goes some way to explaining the way FFP now works (though it's still a little convoluted):

Best transfer window in my memory. Really looking forward to seeing the new recruits in action.

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
Overall was a good window for us I feel, improvements made.
I wasn't too bothered about Adebayor, but in fairness to him, does anybody actually believe that Levy would offer him anywhere near his contracted wage to terminate it?! That bloke is tighter than a nuns fun hole!!!
Looking forward to seeing Antonio and Moses rip a few defences apart, and for Payet to supply.

Glad we didn't bring in Adebayor, feel it would have been more destructive to the squad than anything!

I'm more delighted that he's a drain on their coffers for at least a few months, if Levy hadn't been such a prick last season, he wouldn't have this issue, Karma's a bitch and all that!!Knighter10WHU wrote:Glad we didn't bring in Adebayor, feel it would have been more destructive to the squad than anything!
I like to think some like Sully had this planned out

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
Well that turned out far better than I dared hope, so have to give credit to the board and Bilic for getting rid of most of the dead wood and buying some much better replacements on paper. I'm sure it will take a while for things to come good, but the strength in depth is definitely there at long last. COYI!

Re: Summer 2015 transfer thread
Boring!
Are we really going to go into games thinking 'I hope to God we don't have to bring on X, Y or Z'?
I have been a fan since 1973. I'm not sure I have ever been in this position - different, I know, because we only used to have 1 sub - but this squad is excellent!
Hope we can gel asap. Who are the boo boys going to boo now? Or will everyone get behind the team, as a whole, and be truly great support. I'm afraid I always get stared at (not by the boo boys, just the nonplussed) for being too vocal and my kids beg me to shut-up. This feels totally alien to me - but I do feel we have got a little bit of West Ham back. I have loved every game so far - including the losses, the mistakes, the sendings-off.
