Glad Villa did move the goalposts there, Arbeloa on a one year deal is definitely my preferred option. Can reassess the right back situation properly next summer.

I think the opposite imo, don't get your reasoning at all.
Quite simply I think he's a terrible defender. When you look at him initially he appears as though he should be good, he's big, strong and quick, very good athlete. But then you watch him play and realise he has absolutely no idea what he's doing. He's kind of like the Carlton Cole of defending.
Difference being, despite his draw backs Carlton always gave his all and was generally a likeable bloke. Based on last season Richards doesn't even seem to have those qualities.

As CB I agree re-defending, but he's a very good RB both defending & attacking. Better than Arbola imo His pace, power & arial ability are well above average,I hope we get him in January tbh
Sam Westley will be the;lowest paid "player" at West Ham .His inclusion in our squad will allow us to meet the home grown quota, fulfil the 25 man rule and stay within the FFP rules .
He's never going to play , and after all , I have often named a "lucky fan" in my team selections, it just happens to be him .
I've never seen Sam Westley play. He's obviously not that rated after our last minute scavenge for a full-back. How bad really is he? And if he is that bad, how the hell is that allowed to happen at a professional football club?!
