So this is apparently Sporting's director or something?

Worth a read if you can translate it. Basically calling out David Sullivan and telling everyone that he's lying.

Sulivan says in his statement that we managed to sign the top four players on the wish list Bilic had drawn up.

1) Joe Hart. Only a loan signing and its debatable wether he is better than Adrian.

2) Hernandez. A no brainer, although we should have signed him before he went to Germany

3) Zabeleta. Has performed well for Man City for years but is obviously coming to the end of his career.

4) Arnautovich. A club record signing. Did we really need him? I'm not convinced that he is worth £24m. Is it coincidence that his agent is related to Bilic?

Hernandez is the only one that I believe was in the top four of the wish list.

Sporting's president says no bid was received, while an ITK who many believe can do no wrong said fee agreed and flying in for medical.

Something doesn't add up. Which parties were supposed to have agreed the fee? Does Sporting's president differentiate between an informal bid/enquiry and an 'official', board to board offer?

Who knows what to believe, but if Sporting are required to give him a multi-million bonus for offers rejected over a certain figure, which was what seemed to be speculated, then they have their own reasons for muddying the waters for their own ends.

Carvalho's fee, if we do decide to pursue him in the winter will probably rise and fall depending on Sporting's and his performances in the Champion's League. I would not be surprised if Sporting resets the bar come January and tack on a premium for a January window sale.

As for the Spurs and how they are run, the real test will be how they handle/manage their playing staff in the next couple of seasons Sure, the business side seem to be run impeccably. Budget are balanced and wage expenditure and structure reigned in tight, but football can hardly be considered a normal business. The product can't be templated, and getting the best players doesn't ensure their expertise are institutionalised with the club. Their expertise disappears as soon as the player leaves the club.

The pundits, their fans and players might be singing a different song once the issue of pay parity and wage structure comes to a head in the next season or two. More players will be tempted away if they insists on not breaking their wage structure.

Come on now, who are we gonna believe?

Our chairman who has put lots of his hard earned dough into the club he loves while working 24/7 to get us the very best players, although understandably not always being successful? Or some Portuguese bloke who none of us know and runs some club that wear shirts that look like Celtic's?

Yeah I believe the Portuguese bloke too.

You can fool some people sometimes, but you cant fool all the people all the time!

Trapped!

By the way, an ITK can say the fee is/was agreed and is something he has heard from OUR club, not Sporting's, so no contradictory there. Its just Mr On Holiday Sullivan who really thinks he can say whatever he wants...

Maybe he's just trying to keep up with a certain President?
