I don't think it is the players we buy it is the way we set up, the playing staff is one of the best we have had , too early to call but the management team need to take responsibilty .

I think I just saw a jet from Portugal do a hand break turn.

Hopefully it's just gone back to pick up another defender or two.

Like I said earlier in the window, there's no point just buying more and more players in an attempt to patch things up. We have to look at why the players we do have aren't performing to the best of their abilities. We should be getting much much better out of our existing squad.

I think after Carvalho we are finished in the market. We have bought well, if this season doesn't work out then it won't be because of a failed transfer window like the last season.

Mooy just signed for Huddersfield in the last 2 months. Traore is dogshit.

Sakho kept Palace up last season, would be another "next level" signing but he would cost 30m or so

We could probably sell Ogbonna for 15m to try and fund him but i don't think that would happen when we're about to spend 30 odd million on a DM

If we aren't going to sign a defender, then we better move Kouyate in there because we are atrocious as it is.

Get Carvalho and Wilshere in. Play Reid and Kouyate at the back, and Carvalho, Wilshere and Lanzini in the middle three.

As it is we have zero creativity and zero guts.

Really hope the Carvalho deal comes off as we desperately need him. But if he isn't put off by what he saw today he is coming for the money and a platform to a bigger move soon.

Totally agree...

And that's down to management.

We need creativity. We have nothing in this team at all. We could have all the top strikers in the world, with nobody to pass the ball to them, they aren't going to score.

Lanzini is the only one in our team that can carry the ball forward and pick a pass and i bet we'll lose him to Liverpool in a few weeks. Then we are bang in trouble.

I know Lanzini is our main creative area but he's never shown to have that final ball into the striker that Payet gave us

You could argue that Lanzini had Carroll, Calleri, Ayew to work off but Payet had Carroll, Emenike and Jelavic and still managed more than 10 assists compared to Lanzini's 2

We need someone like Mooy in the centre. Obiang is too right footed and predictable. Sakho is a beast of a defender. Traore has the pace to change defence to attack. All things were lacking, and should have been addressed in the summer.

We need our best players fit not a load more new ones

Although with Feghouli and Snodgrass leaving, relying on just Ayew as an alternative from the wing is a liability

Carvalho and a winger and we are done

We need a fitness coach asap and suspect we need a new manager! If we start Ogbonna,in a back four,Noble,Fernandes and Ayew - we will struggle, imo.Take out the "Payet factor" and Bilic form and tactics are relegation fodder. We played the first half of last season with no intensity and have reverted back to that through the whole of preseason, imo.
If Carvalho comes in and another striker, we ,absolutely, have a top eight team in the right manager's hands.
