Rank amateurism at its finest. It has been suggested West Ham's initial offer included an up-front payment of just £4.4m with a further £8.75m to follow in the summer.
Anderlecht were not happy with those terms unless Dendoncker had been allowed to remain in Belgium on loan for the season but West Ham wanted him straight away.

Just Carvalho all over again, Sullivan doesn't fancy him so just farts around with ridiculous offers. If I was Moyes I would walk. I sincerely hope he doesn't, he seems the only sane one in the room right now.

Re: January transfer window
Using the figures from this site for transfer fees paid and received over the last six windows I make a net spend of £28.1m (less than £5m per window).
Now I know there are wages and loan fees etc to consider, bur surely with huge TV money any debt should now be close to zero.

Re: January transfer window
Well we already knew they would have to widen the gates to accommodate the stampede if we are relegated but in all honesty perhaps that's why they needed the cash because it looks like happening either way. Probably best to put in rotating doors in fact with incoming directly linked to the OS bargain basement.mattyD wrote:Just Carvalho all over again, Sullivan doesn't fancy him so just farts around with ridiculous offers. You would think things are getting so low they must be bottoming out but in all honesty unless something positive starts to happen and soon, I don't think we have even begun to anticipate just how bad things could get. Just don't go watch Dunkirk the details might just get too close for comfort and Sullivans no Churchill that's for sure. I am beginning to think their profit making opportunity and our self destruction are intrinsically linked and not in the way we would prefer.

Re: January transfer window
Does his being "a key ally of David Moyes" drag David a little closer into the conversation? When Henry talks about this being policy of management, is he talking about Moyes?prophet:marginal wrote:West Ham crisis: Henry suspended, players unhappy, Brady ‘scuppered’ Slimani deal

Re: January transfer window
Based on a very quick browse through a Sunderland fan forum it seems he fits the Andy Carroll model. Great when fit, but is rarely ever.Up the Junction wrote:We've been offered an out-of-contract defensive mid:

FWIW, I think we just need to get bodies in now and quick.
