As much as he looked very good in the u-23's no way he starts for Watford, they don't play Europa/CL youth games so quite how that's a step up, I have absolutely no clue.....
No way he starts PL games either....

Nope, but probably gets a nice signing on bonus and a pay rise. Which is exactly what his agent does for his clients.Cuenca 'ammer wrote:As much as he looked very good in the u-23's no way he starts for Watford, they don't play Europa/CL youth games so quite how that's a step up, I have absolutely no clue.....

And himself. As discussed on here, his agent is reportedly a self serving tit.HammerMan2004 wrote: Nope, but probably gets a nice signing on bonus and a pay rise. Which is exactly what his agent does for his clients.

Havent seen loads of Quina but arsenal away last season in the cup he looked completely out of his depth.
On that showing, he’s nowhere near prem standard yet

Menawhile we're stuck with Aidy Ward's other client, who we don't want and who doesn't want to be here.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
We have a few weeks UtJ - confident the Germans will come calling. Regardless of their talent we need to rid our club of these kinds of kids who have been poisoned by their agents. Young and impressionable, sure, but those two have set awful precedents and demands without actually doing much. Your name will only get you so far and I genuinely believe Oxford and Quina are too lightweight for the Premier League. Both are probably more suited to a foreign league.

Looking at his website, it's called Colossal Sports Management...
which if you scroll through his client list, is pretty much far from it..............

I'm guessing that Oxford UTJ ? If so, I'd say it's only a matter of time before he leaves. Some agents in this industry are an absolute disgrace ! Don't give a flying one about their clients - only their bank accounts, and to hell with the consequences.Up the Junction wrote:Menawhile we're stuck with Aidy Ward's other client, who we don't want and who doesn't want to be here.

Everyone's looking to be the next Kia, or discover a Paul Pogba type..
Juve told him : "Here's the selling price, anything over that you get to keep.."
Think he made 49M out of the deal........

It's being reported as permanent. £1m with some add ons and a 10% sell on clause.dixie1978 wrote: Out of contract in the summer so why a loan?
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
Can see Oxford, Byram and probably Fernandes leaving but hopefully that will be it. We need to keep a suitable amount of cover especially as we already have 3 long term injuries.

According to Sky Sports, Quina has signed a four-year deal and moves for an undisclosed fee thought to be worth around £1million plus various performance-related add-ons.dixie1978 wrote:Out of contract in the summer so why a loan?
A 6 month loan would have been a better bet.
if he stinks, they send him back and we have to sell in Jan (probably for less than £1m), or he comes to his senses and signs whatever we offer him
if he is great, we get him back and sell for much more than £1m.
£1m today is nothing - hardly a risk.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
Well he's hardly gunna get many chances for Watford in the Prem, probably won't feature at all - so why would his value increase? They've bought him for the future, he's not Prem ready yethammersk wrote:

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
You're right - it is nothing. I think the fact he clearly wanted out, and that we can negotiate a 10% sell on would be the attractive part. If he stays here, we don't select him as he'd be miles down the list to start, and a tribunal probably gives us a few hundred grand and nothing else next summer.hammersk wrote:£1m today is nothing - hardly a risk.

I make you right on this. Just hope we don't lose any of the key players to foreign clubs, although I don't think we willGsbgsb wrote:Can see Oxford, Byram and probably Fernandes leaving but hopefully that will be it.
