Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
Cannot think of a more troublesome useless piece of poundland sandpaper we could have signed, and im sure if I was on 'the apprentice' I would have charged him for the medical and timewasting he has caused the club for a player who will offer nothing but problems to who ever he arrives at on extortionate fees. We are desperate for a prooven striker within our budget and cannot believe we made no enquiry about Charlie Austin at Swindon when he was alvailable. Dyer would catch T.B watching Badgers on Spring watch, and CC is our only hope of restoring quality with faith should we not find a suitable replacement which I hope is not required as he will become fizzy pop top scorer with a decent defensive lineup.I would have liked Bowyer back on a freebie despite his vulnerablity to cards and still feel the defence will have more holes than cheese unless we recruit another Pearce! Barrera needs a firework up his arse,Faubert needs a reality check, and can we not hope for a capacity at Reading as to me its on both our doorsteps and a nightmare ground that needs overturning and the strong croud they always have drowns out our small voices!

Eidur Gudjohnsen
Makes me wonder if he's just taking advantage of our doctors on these annually medicals.
-Nah mate, your liver is fine, you're good to go.
-Alrightidur, where's me bottle!
Glad it was Sam's call this time around though, would be pretty ridiculous if not.

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
Fair play to Sam - one of our biggest problems last season was too many players who showed no fighting spirit or committment. We cannot afford to bring in any more of that type. If that's what EG is (and this - and history - point at that), then I'm delighted to see us tell him to do one.
Now we need to waste no time moving on to other targets.

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
Great to hear that - we shouldn't let players f*** us around... especially given his track record
I wonder if he was quite keen on joining each time but his father was against it? Either way...

I'd be amazed if Sullivan would allow any manager to go anywhere near EG again after this time, so I think this one might actually die in a few days...............!west ham15 wrote:Is this thread ever going to end lol

he lost most of his money because he's a gambler
Eidur Gudjohnsen's bizarre cure for his gambling addiction
07/12/09
Former Chelsea star Eidur Gudjohnsen is my kind of guy.
In a bid to find a cure for his gambling addiction he vowed never to set foot in another casino - but has spent his last two summer holidays in Las Vegas.
That's like vowing to quit drugs and then joining an athletics club.
The Iceland striker is said to owe £6.6million to two banks in gambling debts but if Icelandic banks lend money to someone to gamble, it's no wonder the country's skint.
I want to know that they were thinking of, what they intend to do about it, and what their opening hours are.
I think I know why Iceland is in such financial turmoil. It wasted a fortune on Kerry Katona.
Gudjohnsen is reported to have requested more time to pay, no doubt hoping Iceland melts in the meantime.
Eidur, now playing for Monaco, should follow my lead and get gambling cash from the one bank that won't take you house off you if you don't repay the loan - Piggy.

Hopefully he'll get hit on the scone by a brick thrown by protesters in Syntagma Square, AEK goes broke and he doesn't get paid a drachma or whatever it is they use these days.

I would rather have less talented guys who want to play for us than talented parasites who are just along for the ride..good call Sam.

Just logged on this morning to see the Eidur headline. Amazed Kumb is still standing and didnt implode after this **** not joining again. I was all for him joining but If Alladyce thinks he's not got the stomach for a fight then fair play for telling him to f*** off. I just hope this is the truth and not some PR bit to hide the fact the Gudjohnsen has made mugs of us again.

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
I really do hope it's true that Big Sam pulled the plug on the deal. Gudjohnsen was going to be a big waste of time, now he can be a big waste of time at AEK Athens and use the money for the wages on a players who want to be at West Ham.
I was laughing my head off about Gudjohnsen saying he was a West ham fan, if I was a West Ham fan I wouldn't of turn down the club twice and on the second time turning down West Ham, then go and join Spurs. Sorry the guy is a has-been and a c##t!!!
