The young lad that came on for Blackburn looked lively and reminded me a lot of Defoe.

The game seemed to be - West Ham get the ball, pass it nicely around the back, hoof it to Cole, nods it down to a Rovers player, we pass it round the back, hoof it to Roberts, he nods it down to a West Ham player.

Great post Dave!

I think the above sums up the problem perfectly.......if the midfield or attacking midfielder doesn't get forward quick enough everything breaks down.

I hope Diamanti has the pace to play up top with Cole and not just want to saunter around 30 yards from goal hoping that the ball drops nicely for a wonder volley..............I want a striker who will bust a gut to get on the end of a possible flick on by Cole, who has no other option at the moment other than to hold it up while our midfield stroll up to meet him.

Isn't that what everyone's been saying? Happy with a point but the football was sh*t and we need to change it a little?

2 years ago people were saying they would rather see decent football even if we lost though when Curbs was in charge....

Yeh Hoillet looked quite good today. He needs to bulk up a bit though as he quickly gets worked out. I think we have had him on our books since he was about 12, but he has only just got his work permit!

One question... How come you call yourselves the cockney boys and Millwall the Pikey boys? I saw the t-shirts and the lady thought it was something to do with a bell, that you might be able to hear at Upton Park making you Cockney, but not at Millwall?

Because of our strong accent, the way we talk basicly.

Millwall are just fans that want to fight I suppose, Pikeys.

post blackburn thoughts: that was ****ing awful. both teams should give their point back to the pl as neither deserves it. carlton cole is fast becoming the worst player ever to be seen in claret and blue, not just for his inept ability to play football, but for the sheer audacity of the man pretending to be worn out after poncing about for 90 minutes. parker was pretty good as for usual though.

We all agree with you about the match but you must be trolling about Carlton Cole.

here ya go roverdave let the bells toll

Bow bells are probably the most famous in the world and for many hundreds of years have been woven into the folklore of the City of London. In 1392 Dick Whittington heard Bow bells call him back to London to become Lord Mayor; to be born within the sound of Bow bells was the sign of a true Londoner or Cockney; and Bow bell's authority ends the medieval nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons, 'I do not know says the Great Bell of Bow'. During the Second World War the BBC's World Service broadcast a recording of Bow bells, made in 1926, as a symbol of hope to the free people of Europe. This recording is still used as an interval signal.

Just like last season, thought that a point is probably a good outcome considering the circumstances. It's not an easy place to come to (don't think I'll ever forget that 7-1..) and many teams are going to struggle there. We proved to be no pushovers defensively, and dealt well with their set piece threats...

I said at the beginning of the match that the first half is going to be crucial for us. 120 minutes in an intensive Millwall match will quickly have their impact in terms of energy and concentration and you could notice that quite well in the second half. We weren't sticking you our passing game and lost possession far to many times in midfield...

Thought Cole had some good moments, but really should have finished his good chance in the first half, Jimenez had another indifferent game, but I'll give him at least another 6-7 weeks to adjust. Parker looked lively, Collison and Stanislas did fairly well after 120 minutes on Tuesday. Noble didn't dare as much as he probably can. This is exactly the sort of match I'd expect him to impose himself in midfield, but he never seemed to do so.

Back 4 did really well. Collins was man of the match for me, brilliant. Faubert had another good one, and dealt well with Pedersen. Spector didn't have half the challenge he had vs Spurs, could hardly feel him, guess that's good defensively, not so much in terms of getting forward...

Blackburn are a good side, and with players like Roberts, Samba, Dunn and Pedersen they've got a good blend of creativity and strength. They were probably the better side today and were unlucky to miss some great chances. As I said, a lot of teams will lose points there, so coming back with a point and a clean sheet is probably a good result.

We have to get something out of the Wigan game though...

Just Back, as people have said it was a boring game but id still take the point against big sam. Collins was top class today but noble didnt get into the game at all. Why we took of jimenez I will never know as he looks like he could change a game with one peice of skill. Dyer done nothing and I think we should of brought Nouble on to help cole. Stanislas didnt look confident attacking with the ball but we have no one else to replace him with.
I saw the t-shirts today aswell thought there were class. Where do you get them from?

There was some bloke selling them outside the Darwen End after the match, so I presume he was lingering there or around the Fernhurst before!

Think he's not fit enough to play 90 minutes yet...

Could hardly stand after 70 minutes vs Spurs..
