Clear stuff distilled from bananas (what else?), you could feel the ether off it on your eyeballs as you raised the glass. Risky stuff if not from a Govt. distillery. You survived obviously.

Went across southern Zambia a few years ago and really loved the locals. Lusaka is an interesting city. Somehow we ended up at the mall that all of the foreigners shop at. A hell of a change from the rest of the city, which looks like it was designed by 60's Soviet design school dropouts.
