I hope he tries him, I know we are in a bad situation, but still, dont buy him to sit on the bench when he clearly needs to get up to speed. I think its a massive shame we didnt get him before pre-season was over. Gabbidon said he tweaked his hamstring on twitter so maybe we'll find out whos next in line sooner rather than later.

Quick question.
Can anyone remember why we sold Bobby Zamora?

Because we got £6mil and we were pinning our hopes on the prospect of Carlton becoming competent, which he duly did in the next season.

Yeah i want to see Jacobsen come in as a player rather then a bench warmer. Apparently he is a no nonsense solid right back, so we may lose a bit of the attacking threat we have had down that side of the park but now we have a defender on that side who, well, defends! And besides with Barrera darting all over that wing we have the attacking threat covered.
If he goes straight into the squad for the Chelsea game, could be a bit of a baptism of fire for him.

Because he had scored just ONE league goal for us in the preceeding season. And most Fulham fans I know were not at al happy when he only scored TWO league goals in his first entire season there too!!

I agree with your sentiments. I hope this consensus that he is a solid defender turns out to be true. Whether Grant can start to turn our defence into a solid unit over the next few weeks or not really could be the making or breaking of our season. Without a solid defence, our attack will suffer due to chasing games, midfield focused on helping defenders, lack of confidence and attackers lacking service. With a solid defence, the reverse is true, and would actually allow players like Barerra, Dyer and Obinna to flourish. Come on Avram. It's all down to you now.

Because we needed to pay off Ljungberg`s contract (don`t ask me what that was all about, though).

Any free transfers worth having? I'd generally know but West Ham and England last season has made me give up on the sport...

There would be no point as they couldn't play in the prem unless they were under 21. Our 25 man squad is full

As long as he gets some games under his belt.
As far as I can remember, his loans to WBA and Swindon were spent largely on the bench or in the stands.
