Absolutely. I reckon, given another half a dozen matches or so, he could have it spot on and we'll be fine

I really, really hope so Muddy. One player i dont want to see go is Collison. It'll be such a shame to miss him for an entire season only to see him leave at the end. We've missed him so much and he'll be a pivitol player in our push for promotion.

Obviously not match fit and with a bit of a limp but good to see him back and wanting the ball (unlike quite a few others!) - good luck to him!

like a previous poster said, it's a blessing that he has been out this year in the sense that he is less likely to be bought in the summer... He's an important player for the future, LeytonHammer has it all wrong imo, you can't write off young Jack like that... to play after the death of his father & slot back into the side today like he had never been away- that's a strong character & a great prospect we have on our books... Welcome back into the fold Jack

played alot deeper. looked alot skinner and taller, which is all understandable. however, the concept of a west ham player dropping the shoulder and picking a pass out, remains!

welcome back jack!

A better player than Noble IMO, shame we don't have much pace in the middle though.

I really like these young players we've got to be a nice foundation next season. I have to tell you, as much as I hate leaving the Prem, it will be nice to see these kids come into their time. The Prem is quickly becoming a Billionaire's Playground through and through from 1 to 20 and instead of letting our Academy boys get a run on now and again we've been trying to spend our way out of relegation. If there is any positive at all in going down it is the chance to enjoy these players for the foreseeable future.

Noble won't be at West Ham next season if we are in the Championship.

He played well yesterday and like Muddy pointed out, Collison and Noble will be a quality central midfield for us next season in the championship (if we go down)

Talking about football in work this morning, a colleague of mine reckons he had a text yesterday from his mate who was renewing his season ticket for Swansea City down the Liberty stadium. Apparently he reckons Jack Collison was seen down there. Now i don't know if he was winding me up, or perhaps he was genuinely there. Anyone heard anything, if Collison could be one of the players sold?

As Collison is under contract, not on massive wages, good and seems to want to stay, it seems unlikely he will be sold any time soon.

No chance. I'd have him down as a potential skipper for next season (fitness permitting). Allardyce would not be popular if he allowed to let Jack go.

After the positive nature of todays news.

This would be a massive kick in the nuts to lose Collison.

Though let's be honest who is gonna be in a better position in 5 years time?

Us or Swansea.

Not to be arrogant but we are a substantially bigger club then Swansea.

Great to see him back as hes an excellent prospect, looked a little off the pace playing for Wales last week, however a good pre season under his belt and some aggresive help from a new player in midfield alongside a pacy winger and Mark Noble and he should have a great season.
Sam should get the best out of him hopefully and expect to see him get 10 goals from Midfield next season and we will need that if we are to go up.
Good luck Jack glad to have you back.

Will we play him at left midfield or on the middle? I think we have so many people to choose from in the middle and by the looks of it, we are trying to sign another. I think we need a guy in the midfield who can work his ass off and win the ball for us, now that Parker will be leaving.

Luckily Allardyce is not an idiot, so he'll play him centre attacking mid. Then we can sit back and watch a attacking centre mid who has an eye for goal and a pass, which we have sorely missed since joe cole left.

Collison to run the championship......fo sure

How will we play then?

(Stech)
Spence - (Da Costa) - Tomkins - (Ilunga)
(Spector) - Noble
(Sears) - Collison - Barrera
(Nouble)

(Players) will be replaced with better options aka buys/loans. 4-2-3-1 it is?
