Sullivan and Gold will have long sold us by then. Whoever takes us over will want to attract the best possible players to fill that massive iconic stadium and we will be the next Manchester City. We are too big a juicy lollypop for Bill Gates or any super rich Saudi Sheik or Russian Olligarch to resist. We are just sitting there waiting to be snapped up. Soon as the Olympics are over and have been viewed by 5 billion foreigners, the big fish will bite.

As for Spurs, Levy has been aggressive and desperate for a reason. Nobody's going to let them redevelop WHL now in that ****hole of a borough. They have burned too many bridges. And do they really have 500 million in the present economic climate anyway? b***ocks do they? In 10 years they won't even be the 5th biggest club in London. Now Mittal is behind QPR, its going to be them, Us, Chelski and Arsenal, but with our vast catchment area, surely we will have the biggest potential of all.

Well Sullivan is 62 and Gold is 74 so in ten years time make that 72 and 84...

Surely Gold would be out of it by then just on age alone, and it can't be in any way out of the question that neither of them would be still with us....

So it's highly likely that the club will be owned by somebody else in ten years time just on their ages alone.

When it rains it pours ~ I bet Daniel and Barry will be champing at the bit to get the dead horse working on this one:

Olympic Park employee 'was West Ham aide'
Published by Jon Land for 24dash.com in Local Government and also in Communities
Friday 1st July 2011 - 4:34pm

An employee has been suspended from the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) after it was discovered she was working as a consultant for West Ham United during the Olympic Stadium bid.

The woman, who is not being named, has been suspended with immediate effect while the potential clash of interests is investigated.

The OPLC board, in charge of securing the future of the Olympic Park site, voted 14-0 in February to make the Hammers the first choice to move into the £486 million stadium. The Hammers were in a head-to-head contest with Tottenham Hotspur.

The OPLC said: "It has come to our attention that an employee of the Olympic Park Legacy Company has been undertaking paid consultancy work for West Ham United FC.

"The company had no knowledge of this work and no permission was given to undertake it. This individual had no involvement whatsoever in our stadium process.

"The individual concerned had declared a personal relationship with an employee of West Ham United FC when she joined the organisation and we therefore put robust measures in place to ensure our stadium process was not compromised.

"The stadium team has been based at our law firm Eversheds' offices in the City and only the stadium team had access to information about the bids.

"As soon as this new information came to light the company took immediate action and launched an independent investigation.

"The employee has been suspended pending the outcome of this."

The discovery about the employee's work status came to light today.

A West Ham spokesman said: "We have become aware of inquiries being made in respect of a lady who has undertaken work for West Ham United on a consultancy basis relating to the Olympic Stadium project.

"Having learned of the inquiries, we have undertaken an initial internal investigation. We have established that the work that was carried out was not connected in any way to the bidding process for the Olympic Stadium but procurement project management thereafter.

"We are of the firm view that the integrity of the bidding process has not been compromised.

"We consider that the bidding process was robust and believe that remains the case."

The woman, who has been suspended on full pay, told her bosses at the OPLC that she was in a relationship with a West Ham employee when she got the job at the company.

The OPLC stressed they did not know about any other connections with the east London club until today.

It claimed it had been "meticulous" and taken care to be "robust" about the bid process due to the sensitivity of the hotly-contested campaigns to move into the Olympic Stadium.

The decision to award the Olympic Stadium to West Ham is still subject to possible High Court legal judicial reviews.

The OPLC moved the base for the Olympic Stadium bidding process away from the OPLC's east London headquarters to its lawyer's offices in central London.

It is believed that this precaution has given the OPLC confidence that no information could be discovered, even accidentally.

This week Tottenham Hotspur went back to the High Court to continue their bid for a judicial review of the decision to award the Olympic Stadium to West Ham.

Spurs are refusing to accept defeat after last week's decision by Judge Mr Justice Davis to reject their bid and that of Leyton Orient's.

The north London club will now have the chance to make a case in an oral hearing at the High Court.

I am still convinced we will en up sharing with them you know. Split the costs of a refurb to the stadium, it will be used every week during the season and they will find sine way if having a temporary track put down when we have to do sone athletics.

Does anyone know when this 'oral' appeal will be held? Is it next week?
I just want this all to end, so we can sign the OPLC contract and tell the spuds to f*ck off.

So what happened to Spuds oral appeal that was supposedly booked to take place the first full week of July?
I read this was the plan in a few reports after the judge advised them not to bother as lack of a case.....and remember it being pointed out it was unusual to arrange a date so quick.....

This is going on and on and even supposed set dates in court just pass with no comment by anybody involved??!! :eh:

Last I read it has been moved to the last week of this month. Can't remember which paper either the Guardian or Telegraph.

Tottenham Hotspur, whose joint bid with entertainment giant AEG was beaten by West Ham, had already launched the process for a judicial review into the decision before the latest revelations.

Their original application was rejected but they are now appealing with a hearing expected early next month.

The uncertainty is now seriously threatening to jeopardise yet another bid from London for the World Championships, one of the biggest events on the sports calendar.

Just found this on the web "inside the games" new today......So it is August now not the first week of July........ Headbanger

It's just a delaying tactic by the Spuds, the UK Athletics bid for the 2017 World Championship has to be completed in September, no OC means no bid. Spurs know that and will just drag things out until they get what they want - that's not the OC they don't and never have wanted that pile of trash (yeah I don't like it) - it's either cash by way of compensation or re-zoning for N17 which would be worth even more to them, by paying Dionne Knight we've given them a fresh delaying excuse. In the end we will win and in reality it won't make any difference to us if it's now, next month or next year as we can't take possession until after the Olympics anyway.

I wonder if UK Athletics could sue Spuds if they were unable to submit a bid for the 2017 World Championship owing to the Spuds petty delaying tactics.

So thats 100 million that is under threat by this tedious legal paper chase. Lets not forget this isn't just about a payout to levy and co, hearn is going to want his slice of pie too!
By the time these two have taken there greedy snouts out of the troff the country wil be looking at staging this prestigious event for a profit about 30 milllion.
This makes any accusation on our 40 million LOAN look rather futile.
I sincerely hope and pray that the Great British public are made fully aware that in times of austerity their hard earned tax contributions are again being wasted.
But I very much doubt that the media will dare raise the issue against dear old harry's boys !
Its high time these chancers and lets not forget tax dodgers (Joe Lewis) were exposed and fed to the lions.

Excellent first post! Could not agree more. Could never stand the Spuds but always had a soft spot for the O's. Hearns hypocrisy in his welcoming them but not us has destroyed this.

As i have stated in the past, i have no interest in the OS & i am happy for you that you won the bid.

However, in our defence i will say that if the OPLC had not invited THFC/Levy to submit a bid (which they were NEVER going to give us due to the running track proviso) none of this bollox would have happened.

The OPLC wanted Spurs to bid in the hope that WHU would make their own 'bid' more favourable (WHU had no need to do so beforehand being the only bidder).

They bascically ****ed Levy over & now he is using the ensuing fall-out to to negotiate regeneration funds. I hope it works, if we are allocated these funds we are committed to persuing the NPD. By the way, none of these taxpayers funds will be spent on the Stadium itself, only on the local infra-structure.

You may see Levy as the anti-christ but if G&S were doing the same in fighting for best deal for WHU you would all be behind them but when all is said & done it has given you fellas another reason to hate us - that must make you happy surely

OS for you NPD - win/win situation

All these supposed Crocodile tears for the Athletics Championships is a bit of a joke though.

You'd have to have arrogance beyond belief to put a bid in that included knocking the stadium down then feel that you'd been stitched up when you didn't win it.

And I didn't see any one twisting his arm to put a bid in and as Spurs fans were supposedly against moving to Stratford he's managed to make himself look like a right plonker.

Add to that employing private investigators that obtained information illegally and upsetting the government he really has been a silly boy.

If he's not careful he'll end up sharing a cell with dear old Harry.
